Black Hole
I wake up to the invariable day
I drag myself out of bed
The stranger is in the mirror again
The stranger is locked inside my head
My dream has crashed and burned
But you wouldn’t put the fire out
No sounds were ever heard
Even when I tried to shout
If no one listens, no one hears
The breaking of a child’s heart
Look at the little girl in the corner
Why did her punishment start?
Tears are useless on a hardened soul
Love will not be found
Falling faster into the black hole
The whispers of others surround
If you see me catch me don’t let me go
Why not put out a helping hand?
I must have sinned in this short life I’ve lived
If I did it was never planned
Hold me as my glass heart shatters
Put the pieces in you hand
Let the blood run from another
Maybe then you’ll understand
