" A man came to the Prophet (saw) and said, 'O Messenger of God! Who among the people is the most worthy of my good companionship? The Prophet (saw) said: Your mother. The man said, 'Then who?' The Prophet (saw) said: Then your mother. The man further asked, 'Then who?' The Prophet (saw) said: Then your mother. The man asked again, 'Then who?' The Prophet (saw) said: Then your father. "
(Bukhari, Muslim). From the moment you were born you were the centre of her attention even though she cared for you already when you were in her womb.. She spent her time and energy day and night scarifying her sleep, no matter what state she was in, she was always there for you caring for you and protecting you.. She was your first teacher before you ever stepped foot on a school. She taught you to talk and walk and so much more but yet you.. You are so distracted with the worldly business that you wait for mother's day to make breakfast for her or take her out somewhere nice etc.. Or to simply give her a call or send her a card, message and etc?
The Prophet Muhammad (saw) has taught us about the status of Mother in the following hadith: "Your Heaven lies under the feet of your mother." (Ahmad, Nasai).Subhan'Allah how beautiful is Islam.. :) There is no need for such innovations as mothers' day when our beautiful religion teaches us to love and respect our mother everyday. All we need to do is to follow our deen..
❤ Alhamdulillah, everyday is Mother's Day in Islam ❤
