WARNING: CIVIL WAR FEELS AND MAYBE A FEW SPOILERS

You watched as your boyfriend argue with Stark. It absolutely killed you to see them fight like this. Sure, they didn't really get along, but they'd never taken it to this point.

You could tell the things were about the get ugly when Tony claimed that he wanted to punch Steve in his perfect teeth, so you stepped in and separated them.

"You know what, Steve? I think maybe it's time to go..." You said pulling Steve away from Tony. Steve let you drag him away, knowing that it was best.

You went into the room that you
both shared, and Steve sat on the bed. He put his face in his hands.

"Why is Tony doing this?" He asked no one in particular. You sighed and sat down next to him.

"I don't know..." You said, "But he's wrong."

Steve looked at you and smiled. He kissed your worried forehead.

"I love you, (Y/N). Don't worry, we'll be able to figure it out." Steve said before standing up. He bag an to leave, but you spoke up.

"And what if you can't figure it out?"'

Steve turned and looked at you. You folded your arms and raised an eyebrow. Steve sighed, and took his hand off the door handle.

"I want to believe that this is just some stupid thing that's gonna blow over in a week, but I'm afraid it's bigger than that." He said, "I know we killed so many people, but the safest hands are still our own."

You nodded. You didn't think that enhanced individuals should have to be controlled by the government. Poor Wanda honestly didn't mean it when she accidentally blew up that building in Nigeria. She only wanted to help.

"Wanda feels like this is her fault..." You stated blankly. Steve nodded sadly.

"Stark shouldn't be so hard on her. She's only a kid." Steve said.

You thought for a moment. About something that was very risky to say.

"Steve, I think you should sign the accords and end this fight." You said hesitantly. Steve looked at you in surprise.

"(Y/N), you know I can't do that." He said, "I can't just sign the accords and give up on what I believe in. That's not how freedom works."

You sighed and nodded. You agreed, but couldn't help but want them to be a family again. The occasional argument was fine with you, but this was turning into... War.

"If this has to end in a fight, I'm gonna do anything I can to win. Even if that includes sacrificing myself." Steve sighed. Your heart sank.

"No, no, no, Steve. It won't come to that." You said, panic in your voice. Steve gave you a weak smile, and hugged you.

"But if it does, you know I have to fight." He said. You nodded.

"I know." You said. Steve kissed your head, and left. You were officially in fear for his life.
