Apprentice ((Tony Stark x reader))

"So, Pepper, who's this new apprentice you keep going on about?" Tony asked Pepper as he worked on a glove from his Iron Man suit. Pepper straightened her blouse and glanced at her tablet.

"I thought that it would be nice to have an apprentice, so I hired a lovely young lady named (Y/N) (L/N)." Pepper responded. Tony looked at her and raised an eyebrow.

"Alright, and where is she?" He asked. Pepper huffed, slightly agitated by him.

"She'll be arriving in an hour, and I expect you to look..." She paused and looked at Tony, covered head to toe in sweat and oil, "Presentable."

Tony rolled his eyes, and waved her off. He returned back to his work.

An hour later, the doorbell rang.

"Sir, Miss (L/N) has arrived." JARVIS said. Tony checked himself in the mirror, and straitened his tie.

"Thanks, JARVIS." He said, and began to walk down the stairs.

'This girl better be worth getting all dressy for' he thought grumpily to himself as he walked.

He reached the bottom of the stairs. He looked to see a beautiful woman standing there. Her outfit was professional, yet casual. A (F/C) blouse, black skirt, and a pair of matching pumps. Her (E/C) eyes were sparkling, and her (H/C) hair was pinned away from her face.

'Yep. Totally worth getting dressed up for' Tony thought. He sauntered up to you, and smiled charmingly. You blushed lightly as he kissed your knuckles.

"You must be (Y/N)." He said, "I'm-"

"Tony Stark." You said, "Yes, I know."

Tony smiled.

"Ah, yes, I'm sure you have."

Pepper cleared her throat.

"Mr. Stark?" She said, "If you'll excuse us, I'm going to give (Y/N) the grand tour."

"Why don't I do it?" Tony asked a bit too quickly. He mentally kicked himself for coming off as desperate, "I mean, I know the tower inside and out."

Pepper raised an eyebrow. Then nodded.

"Fine." She said. Then turned to you and smiled, "You have my full permission to kick him where it hurts. Have fun!"

She then turned on her heel, and walked away, leaving you with the Billionaire.

Tony held out his arm for you to grab.

"Shall we start, darling?" He asked, winking. You blushed madly and took his arm.

He toured you around the tower, cracking jokes about his fellow colleagues. You almost died laughing when he mentioned how Captain America was shaped like a Dorito.

You entered the lab with him, and marveled at the amazing technology around you. You noticed the Iron Man glove. You gently pulled your arm out of Tony's grip and walked over to it.

"Uh, I don't think that's a good idea-" he began, but it was too late. You picked up the glove and examined it.

"What's wrong with it?" You asked.

"The repulsor won't connect." Tony explained. You squinted at the circuits, then noticed a tiny wire was loose.

You picked up a screwdriver and a small bolt, connected the wire, then secured it in place.

"Now try it." You smiled holding out the glove. Tony looked at the glove, then at you, before gently taking it from your hands.

He slipped it on, then instructed you to place an empty liquor bottle on the table. You did, and stood behind him.

Tony took aim, and fired the repulsor at the bottle. It shattered at the blast. You covered your head to protect yourself from the falling pieces of glass and other debris. Tony turned and looked at you, amazed.

"It worked..." He said. Then a wide smiled creeped across his face.

"It worked!" He cheered as he spun you around, "(Y/N), your a genius!"

You laughed and hugged him.

"Well, I see that you two are having fun!" A voice from the doorway said. You and Tony turned to see Pepper smiling at you.

You then realized that you were still hugging Tony, and blushed. You and Tony separated, and you walked over and stood next to Pepper.

"See you later." You said to Tony, "And thank you for the tour."

Tony smiled.

"Your welcome." He said, "And I'll assume that you'll be joining me for dinner tonight."

You blushed an nodded. This was going to be the star of a beautiful relationship.
