NOTES: OH MY GOD I AM SO SO SORRY I HAVEN'T BEEN UPDATING. I feel so bad, I'm so sorry. Life got in the way and I kinda abandoned you guys. But I'm back! Hit me up with some requests! I don't know when they'll get done, since my Suicide Squad oneshot book is needs to be updated more. Anyway, I thought I'd make it up to you with some Matt Murdock.

You sat alone in a restaurant, awaiting your lawyer. You've never met him before. Your friend said he was an excellent one that could help you.

Your father had just been convicted of assault and attempted murder. You knew he was a drinker, but you never thought it would go as far as this. He was facing trial and you needed a lawyer.

"Miss (Y/N)?" A man's voice said. You looked up from your menu to see two men. One with longish hair and a sweet smile, and the other with dark glasses and a walking stick.

You smiled a bit at them. You straighten your brushed the hair out of your face.

"Yes, and please, I think you can call me (Y/N)." You said shaking the first man's hand. You extended your hand to the other man, but he didn't take it.

You were wondering what the heck was wrong with this guy, then you realised why he had those glasses and a cane. You quickly withdrew your hand, blushing furiously.

"Sorry..." You apologized, "I didn't realize you were..."

The man with the can smiled a gorgeous smile and laughed lightly.

"It's alright. It happens all the time. I'm Matt Murdock, and I heard you need a lawyer. This is my assistant, Foggy." Matt said. You felt relieved that he didn't hate you after that little incident.

You've always had trouble with men. You can never seem to find one that treats you correctly.

"Yes. My father has gotten into a bit of trouble, I'm afraid." You sighed. Matt nodded.

"I'm so sorry... That must be awful. Can you tell us what happened? Only if you want to, if you don't want to talk about it, the court can explain." He said, rather quickly. You smiled a little at how nice he was.

"It no problem, really. My dad... He likes to drink. A lot. And one night he assaulted and tried to kill a man. I know he didn't mean it. He never does." You explained.

Matt nodded, thoughtfully. As did Foggy.

"Yes, well, I believe we can help." Matt said. You smiled for the first time in weeks.

"Thank you, Mr. Murdock!" You smiled. Then your smiled faded away.

"How much will it cost, though?"

You didn't have much. You could barely afford food for yourself.

Matt seemed to sense your distress.

"You know, how about dinner with me? This Thursday. You can pay that way." Matt said. You looked at him confused, them looked at Foggy, who simply nodded and gestured to Matt.

"Oh, uh, ok." You said. Matt smiled.

"Great! Does Seven work for you?"
