I ran a hand through my hair, uncertain about Mika's attitude towards the whole situation. He seemed almost irritated. I mean, I thought he would have wanted to strike back against the crown after their treatment of him, but he acted like he wasn't willing to even think about it.
Someone brushed up against me, and I glanced back to see a girl with lilac hair and a flirtatious smile plastered onto her face. "Picked up a new stray, have you?" she inquired, as if she hadn't been stalking us from the moment I stepped onto the grounds.
"He's not a stray, Shinoa,"I grumbled defensively. "He's my friend."
Shinoa's violet eyes registered shock and then competition. "Oh, your friend. I see. And is that all he is to you?"
Surprised, I glared at her. "What are you saying?" Did she think that I, well, liked Yuu in that way? My cheeks flushed, and I could tell by her smirk that Shinoa noticed. I mean, Mika was my friend, and he was cute and nice, but that didn't necessary mean that I liked him, did it?
"Keep lying to yourself, Yuu, if you want to, but remember that I'm here for you in case you change your mind." With that, she flounced away, and teasing grin gracing her features.
