Sherlock didn't understand why the girl was so popular. She was a list of things most people hate.

She wasn't rich but she had money.

She was good at everything.

She was mean.

So why did everybody love her so much? Sherlock didn't think he would ever understand. Today was his first day in the 6th grade. He just transferred and didn't know anybody here. He went through his classes with ease but made sure to get a few wrong. He didn't want to transfer again. Lunch came around and he sat by himself.

"The name is Lyndsi Luckado. Who are you?" Asks a voice. A voice belonging to a very popular female.

Sherlock looks to his right and sees the beautiful blonde girl sitting next to him.

"Sherlock Holmes."

"Nice to meet you Sherlock. You're new here?"

"Yes. How did you know?"

"Because the kids who have been here can't get enough of me. You don't seem to care."

"I didn't say that"

"You didn't say a lot of things. But I know them." She says

Sherlock notices the other kids being quiet and watching them

"How?" He asks

She leans forward so that their faces are only an inch apart.

"Because I can do what you do." She whispers.

Then she stands up abruptly, turns around and speaks to the forming crowd.

"I wish to eat my lunch with Sherlock Holmes. Anyone who bothers us will never be forgotten." She sits back down.

The remaining kids all move away and leave the duo in peace

"I take it you don't like big crowds"

"How-?" He starts

"You went pale when you noticed them. Also you began fidgeting with your hands. And you have no idea why I'm still here."

"Why are you still here?"

"Because I hate people. I can't stand them. I made sure I was something everyone would hate but they love me. I don't understand." She says in defeat.

"I'm sorry."

"Why?"

"I don't like people either."

"Will you help me?" She asks

"Yes." He smiles

"We, Sherlock Holmes and Lyndsi Luckado, are best friends."

Sherlock smiles in agreement. He normally can't stand people either. They're all idiots. But Lyndsi was different. She was like him. They could hate normal people together.

They are their lunch together and talked like old friends. Nobody could understand them like they could each other. Sherlock had started here at the end of the 6th grade and so exams were due in only a week. Next year they would both be in a new school with new people. And Lyndsi was going to ensure they had all the same classes.

They talked about how they could rid Lyndsi of her constant followers. They decided to do it during exams. They were going to interrupt the test in Lyndsi's name, forcing everyone to retake the test. Her and Sherlock would be able to finish in less than an hour while everyone else would take all day. That would make people hate her.
