"Now that that's done and over let's go do something." Lyndsi says

"Like what?"

Murder

"I dunno." She says

"Eager to let off steam then?"

"I'm a frigging sauna on the inside."

Jim laughs and picks her up bridal style. He carries her to the bedroom and pretty much drops her on the bed.

"You should sleep first. I have a big day planned for you."

Good idea

"Fine" she says overdrammatically

°°°

Lyndsi had woken up that morning to see Jim packing an overnight bag for the both of them.

"I could've done that myself."

"You were sleeping. I didn't want to wake you."

"Thank you. I guess I needed it. Stress is a killer."

"I paid a fellow about 20 years ago to create a gas that makes people hallucinate their worst fears. Sherlock took a case today involving that fellow. So today we are going to watch him and see what happens."

"Oooh. Terrorizing Sherlock does sound fun. How long to get there?"

"Couple hours by train. So we will be leaving shortly. If you want breakfast there are some doughnuts on the table. Your favorite." He winks at her

"Thank you J. I love you." She says

"And I love you. Now go eat."

°°°

"We will go in the hollow tonight and see if anything attacks you." Sherlock says

"That's your plan?" John asks

"Yes."

"To use Henry as bait?"

"Do you have a better idea?" Sherlock asks

"I didn't think so." Sherlock says

°°°

"So when they go out to the hollow we follow and see if we can tell what Sherlocks fear is?"

"Well it's more or less just to see how he handles fear. He doesn't have any personal experience with it yet."

"Oh this will be good."

"I thought you'd like it. And just so you know, Mycroft is bugging our house."

"Finally. I was wondering when it was going to happen. " she says pulling her coat tighter around her. They had come to the hollow in winter and there was fresh, soft snow on the ground

"He's leaving for the hollow now. Let's go" Moriarty walks to his girlfriend and she loops her arm through his.

The couple silently and discreetly follow Sherlock and Henry. John had gone off alone to investigate something. They heard shouting but knew it wasn't from Sherlock and that John would be there quickly, so did not move ahead to investigate.

"Don't you worry Love, the real fun is when the fear registers. Let's go have dinner."

"Of course my Sweet."

The couple walked silently following Sherlock and his posse, listening to Sherlock rant about how he didn't see what he saw.

Henry split off to his own place and John and Sherlock went to the B&B, followed by Lyndsi and Moriarty. The duo sit next to the fireplace while the couple got a table directly behind Sherlock so he wouldn't notice them.

A waiter comes by and ironically enough gets both groups. The couple listen quietly as the duo argue, Sherlock getting louder ever word.

"I don't have friends" they hear

Lyndsi nearly chokes in her food. She coughs once, twice, three times. Jim grabs her hand.

"You alright Love?" He whispers

"So many mistakes. So many mistakes." She laughs a little

"Let's go Love."

"Alright." She says

They stand up and go to the room they rented. They sit on the bed and simply be next to each other. She looks at his face. His eyes are sparkling brown. He stares right back into her emerald ones.

"God you're handsome. It's almost a crime."

"Minus well be." He chuckles.

"As for you my Love, you have the most gorgeous emerald green eyes. They glow, and did you know that have flecks if gold in them?" He says

"No I did not. But I did manage to sneak my violin on the train. Care to hear my play once more?"

"Hopefully more than just the one my Love, surely you love me more than that?" He says playfully

"Anything for you my Dearest."

She puts the bow to the strings and starts playing Master of Tides.

She danced around the small room even more graceful than in their own home.

"I have to be more careful you see, so I don't hit anything"

°°°

John stalked off. Sherlock had messed up again. He went trudging up to his rented room for the night but stopped when he heard violin music.

He leaned closer to the door it was coming from. It sounded like Lyndsi but she couldn't be here. Well whoever it was they were playing beautifully. Sherlock listened for a moment longer before continuing to his room.

He did miss Lyndsi. She was his only friend when they were kids. And now she was with his only enemy. The more Sherlock thought about it he realized he was an idiot. He knew he messed up but she didn't have to be so extreme. She was dating the world's most dangerous criminal. There was no way Lyndsi wouldn't fall evil eventually.
