"Not literally of course. Just so you can get away from Moriarty."

"Good job, that. Brilliant even"

"As I usually am."

"Come now braggart don't be so vain." She scolds him playfully

"Of course. John has to believe it. So he can't know."

"As per the usual. When?"

"You said he has plans for me. We find out what he wants and do it when he comes to greet me and start them."

"He said, wait till he falls. He's going to ruin you. That's all I got."

"Acceptable. Now just to wait until he starts his plan."

"Shit." She whispers quietly

"What?" Sherlock whispers back

"He's here. I'll be in the bedroom. If this is going to work he has to think you hate me" she explains quickly as she tiptoes to his room.

Moriarty steps through the doorway just seconds after Lyndsi closes the door after her. He glances to the bedroom for just a moment.

"Where is she?"

"Who?"

"DONT PLAY COY WITH ME HOLMES WHERE IS MY GIRLFRIEND?"

"I haven't seen Lyndsi for a few days now. I thought she was with you"

Moriarty sits on John's chair

"No. I locked her in the basement so I could finish some things without her getting hurt but Moran took it upon himself to torture her. I need to find her, I never intended for that to happen. Moran won't be on the streets much longer."

"Yes I'm sure she'll believe you. But I haven't seen her."

"Why wouldn't she come to you? You made up?"

"No. Well, I pretended to, to see if she would tell me what you planned on, but she's loyal. But no I hate her."

"Still doesn't answer why she wouldn't come here if she believed you were friends"

"We had a falling out, last time. It ended with me threatening to kill her if I ever saw her again. So no, not friends."

"You will tell me if she shows up yes? I know we aren't friends, far from it, but she is important to me and I'm sure you know what that's like, with John at least?"

"He's not gay. He has a wife. But I see what you mean, yes John being the only friend I have is important. I'll let you know if I see her. But only if in that instance i don't kill her. I did make a promise."

Moriarty nods.

"But you're sure she isn't here?" He asks again glancing towards the bedroom door

"Positive. Why would I hide somebody I hate in my home?"

"Well then you won't mind if I check the room?"

"Actually I do mind but I suppose if you ready want to." Sherlock hides his fears quiet well.

Moriarty moves to the bedroom door and opens it swiftly. He looks behind the door and in the wardrobe.

"Lyndsi?" He calls softly

No answer. He even checks under the bed and under the desk. He walks back out and leaves without saying another word. Sherlock sighs in relief when he hears the door close. He gets up and goes to the bedroom as well.

"Lyndsi? You can come out now"

Sherlock looks around to see Lyndsi crawl through the now open window.

"Clever you" he says with a smile

"As always"

"Look who's the braggart now"

"Oh come on we know we're both brilliant."

"Yes. How did you think to climb out the window?" Sherlock asks

"You told me to." She says as she sits back down in John's chair

"What do the other voices sound like?"

"Well the bold one is Phil while the soft one is Ann. I guess its because they were the last ones I heard before I hit my head."

"Phil and Ann were your Foster parents?"

Lyndsi nods.

"When do we kill me?" She asks him

"I suggest as soon as he ruins me. Now to decide how and where"

"I say you shoot me then I slowly bleed to death in Jim's arms. That'll definitely piss him off."

"How would we fake that?"

"You shoot me somewhere in the stomach non fatal. I'll act out me dying but have John nearby just in case."

"I thought he wouldn't know?"

"He won't but have him nearby have him think Jim shot me."

"Isn't that dangerous?" Sherlock asks

"So isn't dating the world's only consulting criminal but after that I'm still alive. Well... mostly. Also we should do it at the pool."

"Mmm. Alright. But for now you need to get rest. I want you to be able to walk." Sherlock says

"I can walk. Running... running I should be able to do."

"Bed. I'll have food for you when you get up." He says

Lyndsi stands up with a little struggle and walks to Sherlocks bedroom.

She falls asleep after a while leaving Sherlock to himself. He went to his Mind Palace. He wandered the halls until he came to Lyndsi's room. He stepped inside to see a projector shooting scenarios about her fake death. Sure he was a genius but could he hit her someplace that wouldnt result in her death?

'Maybe there's another way?'

'poison?' Lyndsi is standing next to him now

'hard to pull of without blood.'

'stabbing? We can paint a gash on my throat and use a fake blood packet?'

'No. He's too smart for that'

'... you could drown me again. Average humans can hold their breath for a minute or so. But after that they loose consciousness and have about 7 minutes to get air into their lungs before the brain shuts down and they die.'

'clever. It might work. Unless Moriarty want to spend time with your lifeless body then John wont be able to get to you.'

'damn. This is harder than you thought' Lyndsi says

'yes.'

'your choice. Shooting and drowning seem the best choices. Let me know when I wake up.' she walks out of the room.

'drowning seems the best choice.' he pulls out of his Mind Palace content with his new choice

"Sherlock! Sherlock!" Lyndsi screams

Sherlock runs into the bedroom to see Lyndsi with her head in her hands.

"Nightmare?" He asks

"Yea. I'm sorry. I thought he got you."

"Im fine. We'll get through this. We always do." He turn to leave but Lyndsi says something before he can

"Sherlock? Will you stay?"

He turns to her slightly confused by her question

"In here? With me?" She clarifies

"Sure." He says after only a moment of hesitation

She moves over on the bed making room for him. He sits next to her and wraps his arms around her, knowing it would help a little. She lay her head on his chest and listens to him breath.

"Thank you Sherlock. You mean a lot to me."

"You mean a lot to me too Lyndsi."
