"I'm going to see Sherlock today. It's been a while." Lyndsi says

It had been a while. 2 weeks. Sherlock had found her number again and tried to apologize. Again. And again. And again. So she finally told him she was going over. When she did get there Sherlock was waiting patiently in his armchair.

"Jim is the one who pulled me out of the car before it exploded. I had no one to go to. Nowhere to be. I wasn't wanted. My own foster parents were on their way to drop me back at that damned building. I couldn't take care of myself at first. I was hurt, I could barely walk. Jim helped me. Took care of me. I learned that Jim wasn't wanted by anyone either. He was living on the streets so I lived with him. It was better than being thrown left and right in the system. He took care of me, Sherlock. When nobody else even cared if I was still breathing."

"And do you know what he does for a living?"

"You tell me"

"He's a murder. He killed people for money. People die because of him"

"People die anyway. And he only kills people who have it coming. Criminals."

"He pays other criminals to kill."

"He gives them money. They do what they do, give him the things like jewelry and credit cards, he kills them."

"What about John? He strapped a bomb to him and you for the case he gave you back."

"It was planned out Sherlock. I never even had a bomb on me until it was time for Scotland Yard to come and get me. And John's wasn't even real. As for me being drowned we went over that. I was to drown for only a few minutes at most. John is a doctor and Jim knew he would save me."

"And you plan on staying with him?" Sherlock asks quietly

"He saved me Sherlock."

"I saved you."

"It was different for us. Jim didn't have to. He didn't feel like he had to."

"I didn't either." Sherlock argues

"Yes you did. At least partly. Because we were friends"

"Please stay."

"No Sherlock. I can't trust you." She leaves.

Sherlock felt as though he had been stabbed. Lyndsi didn't only not trust him a little, she didn't trust him at all.
