The day of exams came up sooner than expected. Kids were already groaning at the thought of tests. Let alone exams. Of course Lyndsi and Sherlock were finished in about 40 minutes. When there were only 30 minutes left of testing Lyndsi hit a button on her phone that took control of the intercoms.

"This is Lyndsi Luckado, here to inturupt the test and make you hate me. Enjoy." The intercoms turn to static, then off. The teachers glare at Lyndsi.

"Don't worry. I won't be here to torment you next year." She smiles sweetly

Sherlock in his own class hears the announcement and smiles to himself. This would no doubt make her unpopular.

°°°

The test was over and Lyndsi was waiting outside the office. She was going to be in trouble for the interruption. If not from the school that at home. Finally she was called in.

"Do you know why you are here?" Asks her guidance lady

"No"

"Are you lying?"

"No."

"This is about the test interruption. The whole school had to start over."

"Wait... You think that was me?"

"Well it did say 'this is Lyndsi Luckado'."

"It wasn't me." She insisted

"Then why would someone say it was you?" Asks the lady

"Obviously because I'm kind of popular among the children. Someone was jealous."

"If you lie to me one more time in calling your parents." She scolded

"It wasn't me!" Lyndsi cried out

"We will get proof Lyndsi. I promise you that." She glared at her

Lyndsi sulks out of the office to find Sherlock waiting for her. She must have looked surprised because Sherlock started explaining.

"I came to save you" he whispers

"Good thing you did too. I was about to go home depressed." She smiles.

Sherlock was shorter than her but just a little. She could already tell he would be tall when he grew up. His cheekbones are incredibly sharp for a child's. For any human really. She didn't know that they'd only get sharper.

They left the small school building and head towards Sherlocks Street. His house is a decent sized yellow home. He offers for her to come inside and meet his parents but she declines.

"Why not?" He asks frowning

"I'm already late back home. I'll see you tomorrow. Bye Sherlock. And thanks for saving me" she smiles before running off farther down the street where she must live.

He must've been watching her go down the street because Mycroft pulled him from his thoughts.

"Get distracted by a squirrel Sherlock?"

"Hm? What? Oh. No. I was watching for my friend."

"You? Have friends?" He scoffed

"I do! She deduced me. So I helped her be hated by the kids at school."

"Oh you're a great friend" Mycroft rolled his eyes

"No! She hates people but somehow she became popular so I helped her so she's not popular anymore. We're friends."

"Okay." Mycroft walks out skeptical.

°°°

Lyndsi walks into school with a small purple bruise on her jaw. Sherlock was immediately wary for his only friend.

"What happened?" he asks

"I fell out of a tree trying to get my cat."

"Does it hurt?"

"A little. But I'll be fine. I've had worse." She smiles then winces

Sherlock feels bad because she got hurt but she was his only friend so he thinks it's normal.

They go on through the day as usual but Sherlock notices Lyndsi isn't as perky as usual and wonders what's wrong. He doesn't say anything though because he knows Lyndsi won't tell him. One of his favorite things about Lyndsi is that she's always so happy.
