Hi guys, this is my first Wattpad story, it is Ninjago related. I'm starting with a flashback to save time, you will thank me later, I will also have mini A/N's in the text. I hope you guys enjoy!
Once there was a young girl named Cat. This is a preview of her life so you can understand her situation a little bit more. Also as a side note, the beginning of this story is narrated by Cat herself (AKA me), from the present day on (when I get there) will be like any other story. So, where was I? Oh yeah, so as I said this story is a blast from the past in the beginning so that means from my birth on. Let's get started shall we?
So Cat Vickers (I) was born on December 14th, 2001. When she was two her parents decided that it was time for her to start school. That meant that she wouldn't have a normal childhood, or almost no childhood. She got started on her schooling and by the time she was in kindergarten she was on a fourth grade level.
Cat was so misunderstood in elementary school. People thought that she was a smart weirdo and that she was going to outsmart them. So the children called her names while the teachers praised her. The teachers thought she was the best person in the world. They loved how smart and mature she was and how she got all of the teacher jokes. That praise didn't get her far with the children. The children envied her so much that they refused to do anything with her.
By the time Cat was in middle school the children hated her. There was only one girl that could stand her and thought that Cat was a great friend. That girl's name was Carolina, I say was because...well you'll find out soon enough. Carolina defended Cat and Cat defended Carolina. They were BFF's.
Unfortunately Cat was pulled out of 8th grade because she was to smart for high school. She graduated college in 2020, which is when the rest of her peers graduated high school. She was a keynote speaker at the graduation because her peers began to understand that what they did was wrong. They all apologized to Cat and were surprised when she said that they didn't need to be sorry. Life was good.
Cat went on to become a professor and taught at the college that she graduated from. She taught junior and senior history. She taught the juniors advanced placement and up while she taught all the seniors history whether advanced placement or generals. She was so pleased because she already knew the campus that she was teaching on from her four years of college there. She also knew all of the other professors that she taught with.
A year after she graduated she already had a (the history teaching job I described above) and was ready to take on another group of judgmental juniors. These juniors weren't only juniors but the group of kids that graduated a year before she was supposed to graduate high school. These juniors were the last group of students that were older than her.
The students piled into the classroom on the first day. She was ready for the challenge. She had on a short red dress with a somewhat low neckline and an open back. The dress was silk with lace on top of the silk. The dress was skin tight at the top and when it reached her hips it flowed out a little ways from her body. The dress was about four inches above her knees and she wasn't ashamed to show herself off. She had always been bigger, but recently she had lost nearly 200 pounds putting her just below 120. She had high heels that were a nice mix of gold and black. Her jewelry was gold with rubies where they were needed. Her nails were a fire red with a small golden flower in the center. Finally her hair was pulled back into a tight teacher bun. It had two braids going along the sides to give herself a bit more of a distinct look. She carried a bag that was black leather with a bit of gold on it, which was behind her desk at the moment.
The bell rung and the students all stared at her. She commenced to start her power point and explain her rules and expectations to the class. They looked at her while she spoke and couldn't help but snicker.
"What's so funny?" Cat said.
"Well, 'teacher' we don't believe that you are our real teacher."
"What makes you think that? If it's my age, well then yes I'm younger than you all, but unlike you all I have my doctorate degree from this university. If you still don't believe me, either ask Mrs. Hall or look at the documents on that wall that state MY name."
"Ok, well let me go and see." The student gets up and goes to the wall and looks over the documents. "Well, guys she is the teacher. Sorry to get your hopes down. Oh, and sorry Mrs. Vickers for not believing you and for being disrespectful.""Well...I guess a lunch detention for the whole class is appropriate or a suspension for a day." Cat said to herself, but loud enough for the class to hear.
"WHAT?!" They yell.
"LOL! JK! JK! I'm not serious! I'm just yanking you're chain! Take it easy!"
Then they all burst into laughter. They laugh for a solid five minutes. Then they quiet down and digest the information. Cat continues on with class.
"Ok now quiet down now. I had you fooled. So jokes aside I do forgive you all. I get this reaction all the time."
We get through all of my rules and expectations without a hiccup. Then I go through my list of items to do. Next is to go over everyone's names and to learn their names. I look up and decide to try to make this a bit more interesting.
"Now class, amongst yourselves you are to put yourselves in alphabetical order in the desks. This desk is where you will start. The back one in that corner is where you will end. Ok, begin!"The class got to work on putting themselves into order. It was quite amusing. Some of them were singing the alphabet song to see where the next person went. Others weren't doing anything at all. It was a sight.
"How we doing?" I asked.
"Well, we have just finished. You may check and see that we're right." One boy said snottily.
I started to go over the roll. I would go up to each person and ask if they were the person on my list. They would say 'no' and the correct person would have to come over to take their seat. By the time I was halfway done only half of the class was seated. That half was the half that I had gone through on my roll.
"I told you that wasn't right Tori." The snotty boy scolded.
"WHAT! MY FAULT! I HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS OTHER THAN TO TELL YOU THAT YOU WERE WRONG NATETHAN!" Tori yelled.
"CALM DOWN RIGHT THIS INSTANT OR YOU BOTH WILL HAVE A DETENTION OR EVEN A REFERRAL!" That shut them up.
They looked at me and realized that I was serious. I gave them another chance to put the rest of them into order. They got it right this time. Then we played a name game.
"And you are Davis?" I said to the last boy. He responded with a nod. Then he and I created small talk like I did with everyone else. "Ok, you can go back to your seat now Davis."
"Alright Miss. Vickers, and you can call me Dave. Can I talk to you after class?"
"Of course, I am here for an hour from noon to one o'clock. Then I have a class."
We finished class with the game, and class ended. I waited until everyone was gone, or so I thought, and I took out my lunch.
"Spinach salad with a roll? Is that what you always eat?"
"Oh, Dave, I didn't see you. Do you need to talk to me about something?"
"Yes I do. Well I was wondering if you would be obliged to go to lunch with me, my treat?"
"Well...YES!"
We went out to his car and he drove me to a McDonalds. We had our lunch and we talked. The more we talked the more I felt something towards him. I soon figured out what that feeling was, and that it was mutual. It was...love.
I found myself looking into his eyes during class. He would always hang back and we would always go to lunch. Eventually he asked me to be his girlfriend. Of course I said yes.
We had been going steady for a few months when he began to become more demanding. He graduated from college and got a job as one of my coworkers. He started to demand my attention during my work hours and would bust into my classes shouting that he needed to talk to me. I was trapped.
I tried to let him off easy but he wouldn't go. One night he forced me to come over to his place. He forced me into his bedroom and tried to undress and take advantage of me. I refused and ran away. I got a restraining order and he was fired from his job at the university.
I went on to reconnect with Carolina. We hung out all the time. We went to the mall and the movies all the time. We were inseparable.
