Chapter 15

We awoke to the sound of Sensei's gong. Cole groaned, I sighed. We got up and readied ourselves for the day. I wore my ninja gi, Cole wore his. I pulled my hair back up into a messy bun. Cole just ran his fingers through his hair.

"I coulda done that for you." I said jokingly.

He laughed. "Be my guest."

"I was joking, Cole." I said smiling. I suddenly felt a pain in my stomach, the I tasted the type of weird spit you get before you puke. My eyes widened a bit as I said, "I'm going to the bathroom."

"Are you ok Cat, you look a bit pale."

"I don't feel good Cole." I walked out of the room quickly, "I think I'm gonna be sick."

I ran to the bathroom and found it free. I went in and shut the door. I opened the toilet lid and puked. Cole was quickly by my side. He pulled my bangs out of my face. Then he went to get Nya.

"Cole can you wait out here?" She asked.

"Sure Nya."

Nya came in and shut the door. She searched the cabinets for something. She set a box on the sink then went to my side. She helped me to stop breathing hard and fast, finally I calmed down. I washed my face and brushed my teeth, I felt better.

"Do you feel better?"

"Yes, thanks Nya."

"No problem, now do you know how to use this?" She held up a box that read...

"Pregnancy tests?!?" I said loudly.

"Just to make sure. So do you know how to use them?"

"No. Not really." I sighed.

"Ok." She went on to explain how to use it and which line means what. Then she said she'd be waiting outside the door with Cole.

"Great." I muttered to myself. I took the test and waited 5 minutes. Finally I saw it change colors. 1 line appeared, I waited. Nothing else. I sighed happily then checked the box to be sure. 1 line negative 2 positive.

I walked out after throwing away the test and putting away the box. Cole and Nya bombarded me with questions.

"Positive or negative?" Cole asked.

"Negative."

"What caused the sickness?" Cole asked.

"Uh...Nya?"

"Maybe a small side effect of eating too much or something else. Probably not any illness."

"Good." Both Cole and I said.

"What were you expecting on the test?" Nya asked.

"I was hoping negative, 'cause I'm not ready for that, but I expected positive."

"Ok." Nya and Cole both said.

We arrived at the kitchen to find everyone was not there. We found them on the deck waiting to start. We said good morning and finally started the exercises. When we finished we ate breakfast. We continued to train for the rest of the day, only pausing for meals or breaks.

The next few months were a bit of the same, train, chill, have fun, and be with Cole. The next thing I knew it was my 1 year anniversary with Cole. We went on a special date in the city. I realized that I'd been living with the Ninja for a year. That shocked me and everyone else also.

Soon another year flew by, nothing has happened. Mordu has been extremely quiet and nothing bad has happened. Cole and I celebrated another anniversary. Training has gotten repetitive. Nothing new, nothing challenging. Just every now and again when I'd unlock another hidden power.

I've unlocked a lot of powers throughout this year, yes another year has gone by. Cole has been acting a bit suspicious lately, but I don't really know why. Maybe he's planning something. Cole and I dropped by my parents house a few times within the year. There's nothing that happens.

It's still the 3rd year of living with the Ninja, and it's been a week since my 3 year anniversary with Cole. He's been acting even more strangely since our anniversary, almost as if he has a secret or he's nervous around me. The others have also been acting weird, it's as if everyone but me knows what's going on!

"Hey Cat! What up?" Cole said. He'd been in the city, why I don't know.

"Nothing, just missing you."

"Aw, I'm here now." He said walking up to me. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me into an embrace.

"Cole?" I said after we pulled apart.

"Yeah?"

"What's going on? I feel like everyone's keeping a secret from me."

"What!? We're not keeping a secret from you. But I do have a surprise." He said pulling me up. "Close your eyes."

"Ok." I closed my eyes and felt him lift me up and carry me out onto the deck. He sat me down on a chair and told me to keep my eyes shut. I did as told, I heard a lot of shuffling. What was going on?

"Ok Cat, you can open your eyes." Cole said.

I opened my eyes and gasped. There was a table in front of me, Italian food was on the table, it was near dusk and the sun was setting. It was a candle lit dinner. "Oh Cole this is beautiful! You didn't have to do this for me!"

"Yes I did. You've earned it 'cause your the best. And I love you." He smiled. Suddenly violin music started to play.

I smiled, "I love you too."

We ate dinner, then everyone came out with a cake and cleared the table. It was dark then. The soft glow of the candles illuminated the area. Then everyone stood beside the table, Cole stood and walked over to be right in front of me. He pulled me to my feet and backed up a few steps.

He got on one knee and said, "Cat I love you so much, you make me so happy." He pulled out a purple and black box. He opened the lid and said, "Cat, will you marry me?" In the box was a sliver ring with a medium sized stone on it. I gasped. My hands covering my mouth, tears in my eyes.

"YES YES YES!!!!!! I WILL MARRY YOU COLE!!!!! YES!!!!" I ran to him and hugged him. I kissed him then hugged him again. I finally took a closer look at the ring. The stone was actually a medium sized, for a ring, piece of coal and the middle had been turned to diamond. When I saw that I teared up again. Then I noticed an engraving on the inside of the ring. It read, 'Cat and Cole Forever.' I smiled, "Thank you so much. This is so special! Did you make the ring?"

"Yeah, you have no idea how long it took all of us to do that." He smiled, "Kai helped me turn this piece of coal, that I made with my power, to be half diamond and half natural form. Jay and Nya helped me to put the engraving on it. And Zane, Sensei, Misako and Lloyd helped to come up with how to propose."

"Aw, thank you all! This just makes it that much more special!" I said putting it on.
