Chapter 5

​I couldn't see anything at first.  Slowly 2 figures came into view.  I immediately recognized 1 as my mother.  The other was a complete stranger to me.  The stranger was a woman dressed in all purple.  She looked to be way older than Wu and my mother.  The woman looked me in the eyes.  Then she spoke.

​"Ah, my child.  You have harnessed your powers and figured out how to communicate with me.  You must be confused.  I am your grandmother Cat.  Or formally known as Aroura.  I see you have noticed that your mother is also here."  Aroura said.

​I had forgotten that my mother was there.  I stood and looked at her, I hadn't realized that I was on the ground.  "Mom?  Aroura?  Grandmother?"  I said dumbfounded.  "Mom it's really you!  Oh I thought I lost you forever!"  I said as I rushed her.  "Why did you keep this from me?"  I said anger rising in my voice.

​"Oh you'll understand someday.  I'm sorry you had to find out this way."  My mother said.

​"What do you mean?  Oh never mind, it'll just be another secret that you keep from me."  I said with a huff.  "Wu is nice and a good teacher."  I said turning to Aroura.

​"Thank you Cat.  You know, you don't have to call me Aroura, you can call me Grandmother or some other nickname."

​"Ok, Grandmother, I'll keep that in mind.  Mother, are Matt and Dad ok?"

​"They are fine darling.  One question though, why do you go by Cat now and not your full name?"

​"Well, I don't know who I am exactly anymore."  I said, a tear ran down her cheek.

​"Oh, Catherine.  To me you will always be my daughter and the purple ninja.  To others you are a slave or a nemesis.  Just like to Lloyd, your cousin and my nephew, you are a friend or a sister.  We must get onto business."  She concluded, I watched as she looked at me with those green eyes that I knew I could turn to.  I can still trust those eyes, I feel it.

​"Thank you.  First, I'm so proud of you, Lloyd, and both of my sons, even though Garmadon went his separate way when he was younger, he died a true hero and a good man.  Lloyd, I don't even know what to say, I'm so happy that he is fulfilling his destiny, he is a great boy and I couldn't be more proud.  As for Wu, he has always been good and I'm happy that he has grown into a wise sensei.  Cat, you never cease to amaze me, I'm so proud of you, you've been strong where others would've crumbled, I am honored to call you my granddaughter, remember what I just said, ok.  Cat, Wu told you everything about our past and what your power does, but he didn't tell you what your destiny is.  You are to kill Mordu he is running ramped, as you know.  You are to use your powers to stop him.  Understand?"

​"Yes."

​"Good.  You are to wait until your full potential is unlocked to fight him to the death.  Then you will be given a new assignment.  Know that we are always here ok.  You know the history, how to use the power, and what to do...I feel a disturbance.  We are being tracked and something is trying to listen in.  Summon us when necessary, and don't fear.  You'll be fine, the ninja and Wu will take care of you.  Oh, and don't get carried away."  She winked and my face turned red.  "Be safe Cat.  Remember my words.  Good-bye."

​"Wait!  What if I'm not strong enough?"  I shouted into the purple.  I heard muffled voices calling my name.  I realized I was on my knees crying.  I did understand, but I needed more answers.

​What do I do?

​Someone started to shake me, but I wouldn't wake.  I had to know more.  They had left me without letting me ask anything else.  I needed to know.  I was willing to do anything to get those answers, but it was too late.  Then I heard my name in the distance.

​I bolted up and cried "WHY?!"  Then I fell back down, my head hit the wooden floor hard.  I heard my name again, only louder than before.  I opened my eyes.

​I looked around and saw Lloyd, Jay, Nya, Kai, Zane, Wu, Misako, and...where is...oh...there he is...Cole.  I saw concerned looks on their faces and realized that I was crying and yelling for Mom and Grandmother to return.  Fresh tears threatened to spill out, but I held them back.  Cole looked me in the eyes and saw pain and confusion.  A worried expression surfaced on his handsome face.  I tried to sit up, but couldn't.  Fear filled me, overwhelming my systems.

​Seeing this Cole helped me into a sitting position.  I took in a shaky breath and looked around again.

​"Um...sorry about that...what exactly happened?"  I said, then I remembered all the questions that I needed to ask.  The symbol had disappeared.  Cole sat next to me and said, "Well, you went silent, your eyes turned purple and then your mouth started to move.  You started to move your hands and your facial expression changed often, then you fell onto the ground and started to shout.  You had us worried."

​"Oh...well...let me explain."  I said, then I went through everything again.  "That's what happened.  Lloyd are you ok?"

​"Yeah, just in shock."  The Green Ninja responded.  "Does Grandmother know about me?"

​"Of course she know about you, she said that she is so proud of you and everything you've overcome.  She really loves you."

​"Ok, thanks."  Lloyd said looking down to the ground.

​"Lloyd?"

​"Yeah?"

​"Come here."  He bent down and looked at me confused.  Then I wrapped my arms around him and said "You are important and there are a lot of people that love you, never forget that, ok?"  He squeezed me back and murmured an ok into my hair.  Then he whispered "I'm so glad you're here, and that you're my cousin, you are the best."  I smiled and then the moment was over, and I knew that I had another friend.

​"So...now what?"  I asked after releasing Lloyd.

​"Now we eat!"  Zane said excitedly.

​"EAT!?!  AT A TIME LIKE THIS, COME ON ZANE!"  I said with a sudden outburst.  My face turned red.  "Sorry Zane..." I apologized.

​"It's quite alright Cat.  I sense that you are a little at war with yourself.  I must've said something that made you click."  The nindroid said.

​"No, no Zane, it's not you it's me.  I'm just out of sorts and a bit tired, and hungry."  I said with a smile.

​"Well, Zane, get to cooking!"  Cole said happily.  I started to laugh along with everyone else.  Soon we were headed towards the kitchen, everyone as happy as ever.  Maybe.
