Never Be Alone(A Ninjago Fanfic)

Chapter 8

My dragon and I flew for hours.  We stopped for nothing.  I never looked back.  It was about an hour before sunset when I noticed that my dragon was tired.  We had flown over all of Ninjago and were still not at our destination.  I steered it towards the First Spinjitzu Master's Tomb.

​A half hour later we arrived at the mouth of a cave on an island near my grandfather's tomb.  I took out a bottle of water and poured it into a small bowl shaped rock for my dragon.  Then I downed a bottle myself.  We had a small feast of protein bars.

​"So, um...how are you Buddy?"

​"My name isn't 'Buddy' and I'm a lady.  My name is actually Lady, by the way."

​"Ok, sorry Lady.  I love that name by the way."

​"Thank you Catherine."

​"Hold up.  How do you know my full name?"

​"Well Catherine, I am a special dragon.  I have been passed down from generation to generation starting with your grandmother."

​"Wow.  You mean that you were my grandmother's, then my mother's, now mine?!"  I say excitedly.

​"That is correct.  One thing puzzles me though, how come Lydia never flew me or showed me off to you and her 'new' family?"

​"She didn't want to put us in danger, that's why.  Anything else you would like to know Lady?"

​"Well, no.  I feel that we need some rest.  Shall we turn in for the night?"

​"Yes.  Lady, thank you for being understanding.  I just needed to clear my head, and now I have.  We will chat more in the morning."

​"That's fine, and Catherine just so you know, I know all that happens, and all that has and will happen.  I know your future, and about your dreams.  I know the future of your family also.  I can't say anything else on that topic, I just thought you needed to know."

​"Thanks Lady.  Good night."

​"Good night Catherine, sweet dreams."

​I curled up next to Lady.  My head was on her stomach and she had her tail wrapped protectively around me.  Her head was perched right in front of mine.  I was about to drift off when Lady spoke.

​"He misses you."  She said without opening her eyes.

​"Excuse me?"  I said confused.

​"He misses you, greatly, Catherine."  She repeated.

​"Who?  Who is this 'he' you speak of?"

​"You know who he is.  He isn't your father or brother.  He isn't your uncle or cousin.  Now do you know?"

​"Cole."

​"Yes, it is Cole.  He is strong, but has a weak spot."

​"What do you mean?"

​"Well, when we flew by the ship he fallowed.  He ran the length of the ship and almost jumped, just to fallow you."

​"I had no idea.  Is he alright?"  I say suddenly concerned for Cole's life.

​"He is fine.  The other ninja had to pull him away from the ledge.  They had to wrestle him to get him into the ship for dinner.  After their dinner he bolted back to the end of the ship and stared out behind it, waiting.  He had grabbed a chocolate cake, a whole one, and a fork before leaving.  The ninja are now fighting him to get him to go to bed for the night.  Sensei Wu is telling him that you will be back.  He doesn't believe him, but goes anyway.  He can't sleep.  He keeps reaching for you."
