Never After

Chapter 3: Flashbacks.

POV: Jade

     How I did it? I don't even know, but somehow I fell asleep in study hall and no one woke me up, not even the teacher. They all left me. I woke up because there was a mosquito buzzing around my ear.

     So now I'm running down the hall trying to get to my locker so I can pack my bag for math. After I came from my locker I rushed down the western hall to get to class. That is when I slammed into the prince of our school. The Jordan Hills.

     Before I could even start to spit evil words, I actually looked at him up close. I noticed that he had a slight gold in the corner of his eyes. But that's not what truly caught my attention. It was his crooked smile and with this crooked smile came a kind of attractive crooked incisor.

     I realized he was still holding me. His grasp was firm, but yet still gentle. He interrupted my thoughts.

"Woah there!! Speedy Gonzalez. Slow down and watch where your going."

This started to make me angry for some reason. So I replied with some spite in my voice.

"How the hell I'm I suppose to be going to class when your still holding me?"

I don't know if it was all in my imagination, but I honestly think I saw him blush. He let go of my arms, placed his hands in his pockets and looked at his shoes.

"Sorry... So where were you heading in such a rush?"

"Well i was on my way to math class, but now I'm chatting it up with a stranger. I should probably go." I said trying to walk around him.

"Oh sorry about that. I'm...."

"Jordan Hills I know. Mr.Captain of the Football Team." I said a little more sarcastically than I expected.

" And you said I was a stranger. You seem to know me. But I must say that unfortunately I know nothing about you Ms........."

" Jade. I'm Jade Woods. No title holder, no president and no captain of anything. I'm just Jade."

" Well Ms. Just Jade," he said with a sheepish yet mischievous grin appearing on his face as he continued. That revealed that cute incisor.

" I was wondering. I know you don't personally know me. Shoots! I could be a rapist for all you know. But, I guess what I'm trying to ask is if you have any plans for Friday?"

     I stood there a little bit confused. We just formally met but,

Is he asking me on a date?

Is this really happening to me?

I tried to answer as nonchalant as I could. " Uuummm...... I wasn't really planning on doing anything. Why do you ask?"

" Well, I have my final football game on Friday and  I was wondering if you wanted to come?"

Of course. I would I even think that it would be a date? I should have known better. This is Jordan Hills he probably already has a drop dead gorgeous girlfriend that's a cheerleader. I never had a chance. But I must say that I was a little disappointed. 

" Well, I'm not much of a crowd person. But since you seem so eager..... I guess I'll grace your game with my presence and give it a try."

"Awesome!!!! I can't wait till Friday. Don't think that I will forget that you told me you were coming. I will be looking forward to seeing you."

" Yeah, sure Mr. SerialKiller." I rolled my eyes to show that his enthusiasm didn't affect me. But unfortunately, I think it did.

" Hey! I said I was a rapist. Not a Serial Killer. Get it right."

I laughed even though he was completely handsome and popular beyond my understanding he still seed pretty cool to hang out with.

" Well, Okay Mr. Rapist. I'll see you on Friday." I checked my watch and squealed. 

"HOLY SHIP! I'm beyond late for class. Mr. Wolf is going to kill me. Plus I think we have a matrices test today."

"Oh!! I'm so sorry I had you held up in this hall, because I have a free period. Well do you want me to run with you to your class.

     Laughing I agreed. Off we went down the hall. This was not what I expected, but I kind of liked it.
