In the dimly lit garden of the mansion, I stirred from my slumber, my senses slowly returning to the present. My eyes fluttered open, and I found myself surrounded by the tranquil beauty of the carefully tended blooms. But the serenity was short-lived as I felt a gentle nudge, coaxing me awake. Startled, I turned to see a man but couldn't make out who he is at first. I rubbed the slumber out of my eyes but before being able to glance at who it was, my heart skipped a beat at the sound of the voice that talked to me.
"Let me guess, you're looking for some apples here too?"
His presence now, in this secluded garden, only deepened the mystery that shrouded my kidnapping. He gazed at me with captivating eyes that seemed to hold a myriad of untold stories. It was the same shiver I had when we first glanced at the market. He caused an undeniable attraction, a pull that defied explanation. We marveled at the coincidence of running into each other again.
"What are you doing here?" I asked him
"I work here! I take care of the gardens. I'm surprised as to why you are here."
I held myself back from answering and told him that I was staying at the abode for a few days for business matters.
It was a remarkable coincidence meeting up with him there. However, our encounter took a suspenseful turn when Lust, with an assertive and angry presence, stormed into the garden. She was perturbed by Christopher's presence and spoke to me with a tone that dripped with disdain.
"Beauty, come with me... don't waste your time with this lowlife. Although you both are the same. You may want to be with a man better than someone who spends his days plucking dead weeds from dirty soil."
Despite Lust's harsh words, Christopher stood up and respectfully walked away, his demeanor unwavering. He saw the fear in my eyes and knew that something was off. I watched him leave and glanced at Lust when he became out of sight.
"Where is Envy?" Lust asked. I looked at the tree where I last saw Envy and found no one there. Confused; I spoke nothing.
"Whatever, come on follow me."
Lust continued. As the day turned into night, my brain became heavy with questions. As I sit alone in my room, my mind is a whirlwind of thoughts and questions, each one more puzzling than the last. I find myself pondering why my father is so obsessed with creating a philosopher's stone. Is it for power, for riches, or is there something deeper driving him? The uncertainty gnaws at my heart, and I wonder how my mother could stay with him, knowing the dark secrets he harbors. Nightmares plague my sleep, haunting me with chilling scenes that mirror the horrors my father once inflicted upon his unfortunate patients. How could my mind conjure such disturbing visions? Are they merely figments of imagination, or do they stem from some deeper connection to my father's dark past? And then, there's Christopher—the unexpected twist of fate that led him to cross paths with me twice. I cannot help but wonder if it's more than mere coincidence. The uncertainty of my future weighs heavily upon me, like a shadow lurking in the corners of my mind. Will I ever break free from this captivity and find my place in the world? Can I escape the haunting legacy of my father's actions and forge a path of my own, one that doesn't bear the burden of his sins? Tears sting my eyes as I wrestle with these questions, feeling the weight of the unknown pressing down upon me. In the silence of my room, I find solace and turmoil intertwined, as I grapple with the complexity of my emotions. I long for answers, for clarity, and for a glimpse of the path that lies ahead. But for now, all I can do is wait, hoping that time will reveal the truths I seek and that somehow, amidst the darkness, a glimmer of hope will emerge to guide me through this labyrinth of uncertainty. Hopefully. As the sense of restlessness takes hold of me. The weight of uncertainty bears down, and my heart feels heavy with the burden of unanswered questions. Just as despair begins to creep in, a faint sound disrupts the silence—a pebble striking my window. Curiosity mingled with trepidation, I cautiously approach the glass and draw back the curtain. At that moment, all worries fade away, replaced by a rush of emotions—relief, surprise, and an inexplicable sense of comfort. As I open the window, I tried to speak with him in a muffled whisper asking him why was he there. He gestured with his hand for me to come with him. Confused, I placed a robe on me and went downstairs. I opened the front door and there he stood.
