[9] New places and new faces

Quinn's P.O.V. [Little while later]

After last night with Kaylee and I forgiving each other, and I getting hugged from Carl, it  just won't get out of my head.

I have many questions lingering in my brain waiting for answers. But I don't have them, well not yet at least.

I look at the woods where I'm sitting and then there was a tap on my shoulder. I turn to face Luca.

"Ya wanna go hunting?" He asks looking at the woods as well.

"No, I just want to walk in it but Kaylee will go crazy if I don't tell her where I'm going. But when have I ever done that?" I say with a chuckle at the end.

"So do you want to go into the woods or not?" He asks staring down at me.

I groan and stand up. "I guess. Let me go grab my crossbow first." I walk over to my tent and grab what I need.

"Ready?" He questions.

"Ya, let's go." I walk to the woods with him right by me.

A few hours later walking in the woods I hear a snap behind us. More than one now. I turn to see more than at least fifty walkers.

"Run!" I yell as Luca sees what I'm saying run about.

We run as fast as are legs can take us. But me being unlucky I trip and spring my ankle or at least twisted it.

Luca sees me limping and lifts me up. I should have told him to go without me I'm only slowing him down, but Kaylee would die knowing I died with someone she likes, well I don't know about like more like, love.

We soon reach a clear road with a car on it. He runs to the car and gets in the front to see the keys in the passenger seat.

He puts them in drive and it starts up. He drives down the road not knowing where we're going. But I know where we can go.

"Is there a map in the glove box, ya think?" I look down at it.

"Maybe." He says concentrated on the road more than on me.

I open it up and see one sitting in there like it was waiting for me to open it. I grab it and open it up. I slid my finger along the map.

"We're here." I say pointing to a spot on the map. "We need to get here." I say pointing to farm land.

He looks down at the map that's lying flat in my hands. "Why farm land?" He asks.

"I know people that live there. Just trust me, please. I know a lot more than it seems. My mom was a nurse so I learned a lot of medical things and my dad was a mechanic so if the car has something wrong with it, I know how to fix it. Unlike Kaylee. She always was somewhere I didn't want to go." I say with a sad tone at the end.

"Where would she go?" He questions me.

"She would go hang out with her friends." I say sadly but true.

"Why didn't you?" He questions me again.

"I didn't have friends. I had bullies. So I hung out with my parents and learned things that will come in handy." I say looking at the map once more.

"How much further till I have to turn?" Luca says looking over than back at the road.

"Ten more miles." I look at where my friends family lives. Well hope they still do. I need there help.

          [An Hour later]

We finally make it and I hop out of the car and limp to the door. I knock several times.

Please oh please be here. I thought.

As soon as I thought that the door open and a shocked look of Beth.

"Quinn? Oh my!" She turns around and yells daddy.

Hershel comes waddling over to us.

"Quinn, what a surprise! Where's Kaylee?" He asks looking over my shoulder. "And who's he?" Hershel  points to Luca.

"That's Luca. Kaylee's new boyfriend. She's back at are camp. But that's far away. Luca and I went into the woods but then we were ambushed by walkers. So we came here. May we stay?" I questioned Hershel, looking back and forth from Beth and Hershel.

"Ya. Well always welcome you with open hands. If your group ever finds their ways here, they may stay as well." He turns around.

I try to walk but then there was a sting down by my foot. I look down to see a pool of blood. I did more than hurt my ankle.

I fall backwards to have arms around me. I look up to see Luca. He's always there for me. He's like my brother. But he's Kaylee's boyfriend.

"Daddy!" Someone yells.

I can't tell who, all I know is everything is going dark. Then I was in a white room. I still had my clothes on I had on.

(Dream land/heaven.)

I wake in the white room I saw before I blacked out again. I look to see both my mom and dad standing before me.

"Mom? Dad? Where am I?" I look around.

"We don't have long Ann. Tell her." My dad commands.

"Your in heaven, sweetie. But not for long. Listen closely. Kaylee misses you and Luca right now. She's yelling at everyone and asking them where your at." She looked over at my dad. Like for permission to talk.

"Carl. You will soon fall in love with him. Then things will come tumbling down. But you'll have a future. Same with Kaylee and Luca. I love you sweet heart. But we'll see each other agian." He looks at my mom.

"Love you sweetie. But there's one thing. This is not yours and Kaylee's dad. He's your step dad. I'm sorry we lied to you. You know who really is. He's special to you the most."
My mom and dad vanished after she said what she did. Then there was a very bright thing informing of me. It was as it was sucking me in.

(End of dream/heaven.)

I look to see Hershel standing before me now. What happened to me? They all look sacred for their lives.
