Kaylee's pov

"Can we stop?" I begged, "it's to hot out"

"Sure" Luca replied. We sat down the the forest floor. I went into my bag and as I was looking for water I saw my diary. I pulled it out and opened up the first page.

"No, no, no" I said, dropping the book.

"What?" Luca asked.

"This" I said, throwing the book into his lap. I grabbed my hair with my hands.

"You have a diary" he smirked.

"It's my sisters" I told him.

"And?" He was confused.

"She has mine... We both grabbed them.... She's gonna find out everything. All the lies, all the secrets...... All the things I've almost done" I said standing up.

"It can't be that bad" he threw the book on top of my bag.

"IT IS" I shouted. My breathing became heavy and I started to sweat more than I was.

"We need to find her" I said.

"She probably read yours, read hers" Luca suggested. I gave him a puzzled look before replying "yeah, you're right"

I sat down and picked up her diary, I flipped to a random page.

Dear diary, it's Quinn again. Kaylee and I haven't talked much lately. It's like she's avoiding me. I tried confronting her, but it didn't work. She just glared at me. I want to make things right, but I also want to leave.... Leave her, mom and dad. They would be better off without me. They never needed me in the first place. I should just get up and go. But what if she hates me forever... I don't want her to hate me..... Maybe I shouldn't.

"We have to find her" I said. I put everything back into my bag and began to run.

"KAYLEE!" Luca shouted from behind me. I just kept running. He ran up beside me.

"You can't wait?" He asked, while we continued to run.

"No"

"Stop, stop" Luca whispered. We were hiding behind some bushes.

"Hear that?" He asked me.

"Yeah, that's people" I said, "we should go and see if Quinn's there" I said getting up, but Luca grabbed my arm and brought me back down.

"And what if she's not there?" He turned me so I was facing him.

"We still need a group" I jerked my arm out of his grip and ran towards the little camp. People immediately noticed me.

"Who the hell are you?" A man pointed a shotgun at me.

"Hey, don't point that thing at us" Luca said coming up from behind me.

"What the hell are you doing here?" The man asked.

"Shane, they're just kids" a woman spoke up.

"Yeah Lori, kids that could know how to fight" the man Shane said.

"She wouldn't know how to fight even if she tried" I turned my head and my jaw dropped. Quinn clearly didn't mean what she said but she still said it.

"I could stay alive longer than you" I snapped back.

"Screw you" she said turning to walk away.

"Kaylee?" I turned my head the other way to see Daryl.

"You know this kid" Shane asked.

"Yeah, so get the gun away from her" he said stepping in front of me.

"What about the boy?" He asked. Daryl turned to see.

"I dunno" he said. The man put his gun up again.

"Woah, woah, he's with me" I informed them. The man looked from me to Luca before lowering his gun. Another man walked up to us.

"I'm Rick Grimes, I'm the leader" he introduced himself before everyone else.

"You can set up in the kids tent" he role us. Luca started walking toward the tent when I grabbed his arm.

"Take my bag... I gotta go talk to Quinn" I told him. He nodded and walked off to the tent. I walked down to the small area where Quinn, and a bunch of other kids were. The two turned their head and as soon as they saw me they ran over to me. They engulfed me in a hug.

"Hey Lily, hey Lila" I said backing away.

"We thought you were dead" they said. For some reason that comment made me mad.

"Well I'm not" I snapped before walking over to Quinn.

"Look, I'm sorry... But you still shouldn't have left me. I would have gotten you a weapon" I told my sister.

"Oh well" she smirked.

"Kaylee?" I heard a familiar voice from behind me. I turned around and was happier than ever.

"Carl!" I said hugging him, "I can't believe you're here" I said. I heard a small laugh come from Quinn. My smile had faded.

"Okay, I lied to you I'm sorry... I know you read it, so you can give it back. Yours is in the tent" I informed her.

"Why?" She asked.

"Why what?"

"Why would you lie to me?" She asked.

"It was the only way-"  I started.

"Bullshit, you could have done anything else" she said walking away.

"She'll calm down, I know she will" Carl said before walking up with Quinn. Lily, Lila and the other girl followed.

I just stood there.

"Dammit" I said to myself. I don't think we'll ever be the same again.
