Chapter 22

Meek POV

4:15pm

"Hello" I say answering my phone seeing it was a call from Jaylen's school. "Hi, uh yes this is Jaylen's teacher Mrs. White and I was wondering if Jaylen has a ride home today" the lady says as I looked at the time seeing it was 4:17pm. "Um yea his mom was supposed to pic him up today" I say as concern came over her voice. "Oh well she hasn't showed up yet and we've called and called and she didn't pick up so we decided to contact the other parent" she says. "Oh I'll try and call her to see where she's at. It's not like her to be late so yea I'll give her a call if not I'll be there shortly" I say hanging up. "Yo you good" Tak says. "Ugh yea. Nic hasn't picked up Jaylen yet and they can't get in contact with her so I'm about to call her up now . It's not like her to be late" I say dialing up her number.

"You have reached the voicemail box of...." The line says for the 5th time as I hung up grabbing my keys. "Aye y'all I'm about to pick up Jaylen we can get together later on this week." I say dapping them up. "iight cool" omelly says as I walked out going to the truck. 20 minutes later I  pulled up seeing Jaylen and his teacher outside. "Well you must be dad" his teacher says smiling as I approached them. She looked to be in her mid fifties but she was fit so she looked young. "Yes ma'am I am. Sorry about that, jay you ready to go?" I ask as he looked up with tear stained cheeks. "Yes" he says lowly putting his head down as I grabbed his hand. "Thanks for the look out Mrs. White" I say as she smiled waving us goodbye. I put jay in his booster seat strapping him in before getting in pulling off headed home.

Once we arrived I see Nicki's car in the driveway. So she's at home and can't answer her phone and pickup Jaylen so I thought to myself. Helping Jaylen out the car we walked to the door but surprisingly it was unlocked. Walking in I seen her phone and purse on the table but no sign of her. "Nicki" I called out going into the kitchen but got no answer. I saw that pots and pans were taken out as though she was preparing dinner. "Nicki" I called out again but got no answer. "Hey jay stay down here and watch cartoons while I go see where mommy is iight" I say turning the tv on as he nodded his head. Walking upstairs I called her name out again still getting no answer. I ended up checking every room upstairs and she wasn't there. "Damn where she at" I say lowly going back downstairs then it clicked to me to go and check the cameras. Playing them back I saw as she pulled up which was around 2:10pm. She got out coming then about 8 minutes later some white dingy car pulls up. I swear I damn near had a heart attack when I seen that nigga Jarvis pull up and bring her out shoving her in the car. "Yo is he fucking crazy, how the fuck did he get his ass out here yet alone know where we stay" I say to myself pacing back and forth. "Aye Jaylen you got your shoes on, we going a small trip" I say walking in the living room pulling my phone out calling up the chasers.

"Yes daddy where we going" he asks hopping down off the couch walking over to the door with me. "To find mommy" I say grabbing her phone putting the code in picking him up going outside to the truck. "Yo meet me back at the warehouse code red" I say ending the call closing jaylens door then getting in pulling out.

Nicki POV

"You sick BASTARD!" I say as he pushed me in the abandoned house. "Oh shut up bitch and join your little friend. Her life is depending on you right now so I suggest you chill out" Jarvis says opening a room. "You do know my boyfriend is going to find me right. No matter what it takes he's going to find me" I say as he untied me locking the door. I looked over seeing Melissa chained to a chair next to the bed. "Melissa?" I ask as she jumped opening her eyes. "NICKI OH MY GOD IM SO SORRY, HE THREATENED TO KILL ME TO GET INFORMATION ON YOU" she screams as he walked over knocking her out. "Shut the fuck up hoe. This could've been much easier if you would've straight up told me and we wouldn't be in this predicament now" he says walking over to me. "Now as for you. You thought you could get away from me and succeed huh? Where's that bitch ass nigga of yours you had beat me???? Too bad he doesn't know where you're at and oh our flight leaves tmrw so get some rest beautiful" he says trying to kiss me but I dodged it.
