Chapter 27

One week later

Day before thanksgiving.....

Meek POV

"Hey baby I was thinking we move back up here before the baby is born" Nicki says scrolling on her laptop as we sat on the bed relaxing. "Oh word, when" I ask as a big smile came across her face. "Wait baby you just asked when like you're planning on agreeing with me" she says as I smiled shrugging my shoulders. "I mean I see how happy you are when you're home and with family so it's only right we move back up here and start fresh bringing our new baby girl into the world" I say as she closed her laptop. "Awww baby you want a baby girl toooooo" she sings as I laid my head in her lap placing my hand on her stomach.

"I mean I wouldn't mind having a princess to spoil. Already have my queen so yea I'm pushing for a girl baby" I say as she looked down at me smiling. "Awwww babyyyyy" she says as I wrapped my arms around her waist kissing her stomach. "I could really use a nap bae" I say as she raked her nails through my thick waves. "Then go to sleep daddy" she says  leaning down pecking my lips. We then heard a knock at the door waiting to see who it was. "Who is it" Nicki says as I got comfortable in her lap. "It's Jaylen" Jaylen says as I sighed. "Baby tell him to go play or something I'm trying to go to sleep and cuddle with you" I say as she pushed my head. "Meek stop and let me see what my baby wants" she says as I looked up at her. "But I thought I was your baby" I say as she smacked her teeth looking down at me. "You are my baby, wait no you're daddy so hush. What is it Jay" she says as he asked to come in.

"Yes baby boy" she says as he walked over to us. "Ummmm grandma says to come downstairs and help her make a cake" he says as I smacked my teeth. "Tell her mommy busy Jay" I say as Nicki mushed my head. "Tell grandma I'll be down in a minute baby" she says as he nodded his head walking out closing the door back. "Damn can I not have my girl to myself" I ask as she looked down at me rolling her eyes smiling. "Meek baby just let me go help and see what else is needed then I'll come back up here and cuddle with you" she says. "iight bet" I say as she motioned for me to get up. "Promise I'll be back daddy ok" she says sliding her house shoes on as I nodded fanning her off. "Yea yea. Go on, I'll be sleep by the time you get back up here Ma" I say as she sighed shaking her head. "You know I can't with you sometimes baby" she says as I turned over on my side with my back facing her. I then felt a pillow hit the back of my head hearing her giggles as I chuckled throwing it back but missed by her closing the door behind her.

Nicki POV

"Yes mother dearest" I say as I got to the kitchen seeing Jaylen helping her mix the cake mix. "Wait if you got Jay in here helping you momma why you call me down" I say walking over hopping up on the countertop. "Because I'm making 2 more and I'm going to need another adults assistance you know your father don't bake. Then afterwards I'm going to go ahead and start on the vegetables and getting the turkey ready along with seasoning the meats" she says as I picked up her recipe book looking at the cake section. "Oh ok. You lucky I'm early on in my pregnancy because you know I'd be somewhere laying around being lazy" I say as she glanced at me. "Yes I know onika. But I do want you to get down off my countertop though" she says as I sighed getting down.

"Ma I'm hungry, let's order pizza from my favorite pizza place from when I was little" I say picking up the house phone. "Is the number still the same" I ask waiting on her to respond. "Or how about I cook you up something. Thanksgiving tomorrow baby so just eat in." She says as I rolled my eyes. "Uhh NO. What's the number Ma. I'll just look it myself" I say as she turned around looking at me. "You and your cravings I swear" she says shaking her head as I gave a convincing smile. "I bet Jaylen want some pizza. Jay baby want some pizza" I ask looking over at him as he nodded his head yes. "See momma told you. So what's the number" I ask as she finally gave it to me. "Hey uh yes I'd like to place an order for delivery please. Can I get two large pizzas, one with all meats on one half and all cheese on the other half. Then make the other one the works pizza without black olives and mushrooms...... Ok thank you" I say ending the call after making my order.

"Well why you do half and half on pizza and one full pizza with one thing" my mother ask pouring the cake mix into the pan. "Oh because I figured meek and daddy wouldn't really want none so I made the other half cheese because Jaylen LOVES cheese pizza and with the other one I made it the works because that's what I'm craving right now and I'm hoping not to share either" I say as she sighed. "Now onika that's just being greedy" she says placing the first cake into the oven. "Ma I'm just playing GEESH" I say walking over to help her start on the other cakes. By the time we finished with those Jaylen was just about to help add icing to the first cake as the other two cooled but the door bell rung.

"I'll get it" I say grabbing the money off the island running to the front. "Hi" I say as the pizza guy took the pizzas out the the carrier. "2 large pizzas one works and one half and half all meats and cheese" he says as I nodded my head grabbing the boxes. "You're total will be $21.50" he says as I have him one twenty dollar bill with six ones. "Keep the change" I say as he smiled. "Ok thank. Y'all enjoy" he says as I closed the door. "Lets eat everyoneeeee" I say bringing the boxes in the kitchen. My mother took plates down as I went on ahead fixing Jaylen's pizza. "Mommy can I have two slices" he asks looking up at me holding two fingers up. "Are you going to eat it all" I ask as he shook his head yes. "Ok Jay you better or mommy gone spank you" I say handing him his pizza as he sat down at the table. I then fixed me 3 slices walking over to the table as my mother fixed us drinks. "Uh onika baby are you going to go up and tell your husband to come down and eat" my mother asks as my eyes grew. "Husband? He's not my husband Ma and its fine, he's sleeping" I say about to take a bite out of my pizza but she stopped me. "Onika" she says as I sighed. "Fine" I say excusing myself going upstairs.

Few minute later I came back with meek heading to the table as he fixed his plate. "Now can da Kidd eat now? I am eating for two" I say picking up my pizza as meek came to the table. "Damn baby you gone eat all of that" he asks as I nodded my head yes taking a big bite. "Yup the baby gone be as big as Jaylen was when he came out, 8lbs and 16oz watch" my mother says as I rolled my eyes chewing. "Ma don't speak that you know the struggle was too real with him." I say as meek chimed in. "You know they say your next baby will weigh the same as the last baby did especially if the last baby was a big baby" he says as I smiled taking a sip of my drink. "Oh hush y'all, we'll see. I can't wait til the baby starts growing so I can feel little kicks. I missed that" I say looking over at meek. "And even tho we're not married I wanted to say I'm thankful and ready to give you another baby" I say reaching grabbing his hand as he rose mine to his lips kissing it. "Awww" my mother says as shook my head returning back to my pizza. "Can't wait to meet my sister mommy and daddy" Jaylen says as we looked at him smiling. "Me too baby boy" I say wiping my mouth with a napkin. "8 more months Jay, 8 more months" meek says as we all finished our pizza.
