Chapter 25

Meek POV

I just woke up from my nap. I was so jet lagged it didn't make no sense. Nicki slept the whole way here so I know she's somewhere downstairs wide awake. I'm guessing Jaylen downstairs too because he was nowhere in sight. I got up going downstairs hearing Nicki loud ass of course as I got to the last step. Walking in the living room Nicki had Jaylen sitting on a pillow in between her legs with his hair products on the side of her brushing his hair up into a ponytail. "Oh hey baby I didn't even hear you come in" she says as I walked over sitting down across from her mom. "Good to see you rested son" Carol says looking over to me as I nodded. "Yea it was needed" I say looking over at jaylens head. "Ma why you always say son when you're talking to Rihmeek" Nicki asks making a stank face at me as I shook my head. "Because he is. Any man that have children by my daughter is my son. Y'all getting married anyways so it really shouldn't matter nika" she says as I chuckled.

"Boy bye" she says finishing jaylens hair. "I'm gone need for my WIFE to stop being petty" I say as she fanned me off. Speaking of her being my wife lemme go ask her father for her hand in marriage. "Where's ya dad baby" I ask as she got up with Jaylen hair products. "He went outside to smoke I guess." She says as I got up. I went outside and sure enough he was sitting down in the swing taking small pulls. "Well hello meek, you came to join me?" He asks as I walked over to sit down next to him. "Nah I'm good. I was just coming to talk to you and ask you a few things" I say as he sat up looking at me taking a pull then blowing the smoke out. "What's on your mind?" He asks as nervousness took over me. "Well you see I love your daughter so much. I don't see myself with nobody else but her. What I'm asking is for your daughters hand in marriage.?" I ask waiting nervously for his answer.

"Yes. Yes I give you my permission meek. I see how much you love my baby girl and the way you take care of both her and Jaylen I can only imagine how you'll be when y'all decide to have another one." He says as I sighed in relief. If only he knew we're expecting another one. "Well thank you pops. It really means a lot." I say as he put his cigar out. "No problem son but if you even think about breaking my baby's girl heart again expect a couple caps to da head" he says as we both chuckle. "See pops that was the past. I was so stupid and blind to see I had a good woman back then but now that I've matured everything is different now. I am a changed man." I say as we walked towards the door. "And I respect that. Now lets get in here and see what they cooking for dinner" he chuckles as I agreed following behind him.

Nicki POV

"Yes y'all I'm home. But for 2 weeks" I say FaceTiming candi and titi. They so happened to be out shopping when I texted Candi asking did she want to hangout tomorrow. "Well bitch we coming by to see you and Jaylen" Candi says. "Oh um is tomorrow fine, I mean we just got in like 3 hours ago so I'm pretty sure my parents want to spend this time with us." I say looking up at meek and Jaylen coming in the room. "Fine but best believe we will be over there first thing in the morning to get you" titi says as I helped Jaylen on the bed. "Auntie Candi yaaaaaaaaams" he spazzez as she chuckled. "Hey my pookie butt I missed you" she says as Titi stuck her face in the camera. "Wow jay you don't see me" she asks sounding fake hurt. "Hey auntie tee tee" he says as she smiled. "Hey baby boy" she says as I put the camera back on me. "Ok so I'll see y'all tomorrow then" I say yawning. "Damn you sleepy" Candi asks as I nodded my head. "Ok sis we'll let you go baby. Love youuuuu" Candi says as I blew a kiss ending the call.

"Alright jay lets go, papa waiting for us downstairs." Meek says walking out the bathroom brushing his waves. "And where are y'all 3 going?" I ask placing my house shoes on. "Ya moms sending us off to the store to pick up a few things." He says as I got up following behind them downstairs. "Alright y'all be safe" I say as meek picked up Jaylen turning around to kiss me. "We will baby. Y'all be good" he says winking at me referring to the baby and I. "Oh we will daddy" I say as he smiled walking out the door with my dad. I walked in the living room seeing my mother sitting down reading a magazine. "Oh hey baby. I thought you were upstairs sleeping. I still can't believe you're having another baby" she says looking over at me smiling. "Yeaaaaaaaah" I sigh sitting down beside her as she sat the magazine down on the table. She then patted her lap for me to lay my head down in. I cheesed and clapped getting excited because she was about to comb through my hair like she did when I was a little girl which I absolutely loved so much. I got comfortable on the couch placing my legs across the seat and my head in her lap.
