Hoody's POV
The first time I saw Jay Park was something like magic. It's never the same as seeing someone on stage perform, no, he was genuine, he was real. The words got stuck in my throat the first time he even spoke to me, it was hard to breathe.
"I saw you perform! I don't know if you know who I am, but I'm Jay Park", he smiled while extending his hand to me.
I took it and shook his hand while trying to keep my smile up. "Of course I know who you are."
"Awesome! So you know AOMG too?" he asked me while flashing a big, toothy smile.
"Only the best label out there!" I knew I was being too enthusiastic, but I couldn't help myself. My heart was beating overtime while Jay looked into my eyes.
"Well, we've been looking for a female member for such a long time now. You seem like you could handle a bunch of guys around you!" It flattered me so much that he saw so much potential in me.
"Are you asking me to join the one and only AOMG?" My mouth was wide open while he nodded his head for me. How could that be for real?
"Look, you don't have to decide on the spot. You have a lot of talent and I'm sure other companies will want you too if they see you. All I'm saying is that you think about it, come hang with us some time and see for yourself. AOMG is a real family that looks out for each other and they will look out for you once you join", I felt my head nodding already. I couldn't be too greedy all at once, that would give myself away.
"Okay, I'll think about it. And when can I hang with you?" Too greedy, again.
"I'll give you my number, you can call me any time!" His enthusiasm spiked some in me and I willingly gave him my phone. "Call me." The little wink at the end didn't go unnoticed.
Of course Jay Park was known as a player, he always took girls home with him. It was a well known fact and still I couldn't help the feeling of being special. I was someone he wanted to work with, not just take to bed. That made me kind of special, right? Jay could make you feel like the only girl in a room full of girls who wanted to just jump his bones, it was his specialty.
The days after that I spend by dialing his number and then putting the phone down again. What was the appropriate time for calling with these kind of things? I hated not being secure about everything. There was always some kind of darkness at the back of my mind, threatening to take me over if I wasn't careful enough.
In the end I called him, 4 days after we first met. He was so happy that I'd called and told me to come over to his house, where they were recording some things. He had his own recording studio, how cool was that? But then again, what else would you expect from him? The drive took me longer than I would've liked, but when I rang the doorbell he opened the door with the widest smile in human history.
"I'm so glad you could make it!" he said and hugged me immediately. This got my heart beating fast again.
"I'm sorry it took me so long", I apologised, feeling guilty after seeing him so happy.
"It was your full right to do so", he winked and pulled me inside to meet the others of AOMG.
The whole afternoon was filled with introductions and talk. They wanted to get to know me and hear me sing. In the end I got up and performed something of my own. It took them all by surprise, except for Jay. He was cheering me on like he was my biggest fan already. It made me blush deeply. The guys hugged me once I was done and told me how good it had been. My self-esteem went up by 100 points.
