Yoongi was on his lunch break when he received a text from Hoseok saying that he would be visiting him at work–

Until his shift ended.

Which he was not looking forward to one bit.

Don't get him wrong, Hoseok was his best friend and all, but he didn't want to get in trouble with his manager. Not that his manager was ever actually around. Yoongi practically ran the store himself when the manager was MIA or when his coworkers decided to skip out on their shifts. It was a small store, so it was manageable, but that doesn't mean he enjoyed it. At least the manager recognized how much hard work he did. He even gave him a raise. Twice.

His lunch break technically wasn't even a lunch break. He had to eat at the cash register and keep watch.

There weren't any customers at the time, which was the usual around 12pm. They didn't start coming in until around 3.

Hoseok made an appearance 20 minutes after he had sent the text. Yoongi greeted him and thanked him because he needed to use the restroom. He left Hoseok in charge, which was really never the best idea, but it was better than nothing at all.

He ran to the bathroom and used it as quickly as humanly possible before sprinting back out all in under a minute. Of course Hoseok was not where he left him.

Yoongi began patrolling the aisles. There weren't many, so it didn't take him long to find his easily distracted friend.

"Yeah, thanks for watching the store for me." He spits out sarcastically.

"When did you guys get water guns?" Hoseok asked, holding out the water gun in his hand towards the older.

"Since summer started approaching. You're such a kid I swear."

"At least I'm not boring."

"Sometimes I wish you were." Yoongi pats his shoulder. Hoseok frowns.

"I wish this water gun had water in it right now."

"Are you offended?"

"Yes!"

"Aw, so sad. Sucks." Yoongi began walking back to the front of the store. Hoseok followed after him, holding a giant pool noodle instead of a water gun this time around.

Hoseok played around with it like he was a child.

"Hoseok, you're your own kind of special. I appreciate that." Hoseok hit him with the noodle before going off to find something else to mess with.

"Your job is so fun compared to my morning one." Hoseok yelled from the back of the store. Yoongi sighed.

Hoseok worked two part time jobs: one as a waiter, the other as an entertainer for some bar. His bosses from his waiting job absolutely hated him, but he did a good job attracting customers so they had to keep him. As for the entertainment portion, he did stand up comedy, danced, and rapped a little, so those bosses gladly welcomed him and got a long with him well.

"You'd think that you'd enjoy talking with so many people on the daily."

"Not everyone is as cool with talking to me as you think."

"I could only imagine." Yoongi stated sarcastically again.

"Since when did you get so sassy?" Hoseok came back with a stuffed horse.

"It looks like you." Yoongi laughed. Hoseok put the horse besides his face for a side by side comparison.

"Thanks."

The rest of his shift went like that; Hoseok messing with stuff and Yoongi chastising him or teasing him.

He felt bad for hiding stuff from him about Jimin. He even considered telling him, but he decided that it was best that he didn't. He hung on to the strand of hope that Hoseok would give up on him soon as he had with his past victims.

5pm rolled around quicker than usual, and it was probably because he had Hoseok to amuse him. Though he didn't want him there at first, he became quite grateful that he was, otherwise he'd be stuck doing nothing and staring at a wall for hours.

He waited for his coworker to show up, and when he did he began walking out.

"Before we go, let me use the bathroom." Hoseok said, taking his time walking to the bathroom. Yoongi just wanted to get home and eat dinner.

"Alright." He sighed.

As he was waiting, a familiar red head walked into the store, nearly making Yoongi's eyeballs pop out their sockets.

"Jimin?" Yoongi became immediately flustered. He hadn't taken what he said on the phone yesterday seriously.

"See you tomorrow."

How did he even find out where he worked?

"Ah, Yoongi." He smirked and walked over to him.

"How did you-"

"Jin told me." He shrugged.

"I didn't think you were serious-"

"Why wouldn't I be serious?" He questioned, raising an eyebrow.

"Shit." Yoongi remembered that Hoseok was with him. How was he going to explain this to him.

"Hmm?" Jimin chuckled. "You're so red. I wonder why. Do I make you nervous?" He brushes his finger across the older's cheek.

"You know damn well why I'm like this." Yoongi huffed.

"Cute. You seem a bit stressed-"

"Not today!" He sputters out. Jimin laughs and shakes his head.

"I'm only teasing."

Hoseok comes out the bathroom and finds the two talking in front of the store. He smiles widely and makes his way over to them.

Yoongi once again felt like his eyeballs were going to fall out.

"Oh hey Jimin, what are you doing here?" Hoseok spoke, adding a completely different tone to his voice.

"I came to see Yoon-" Jimin had glanced at Yoongi to see him freaking out. He took the hint. "It was a complete coincidence."

Yoongi let out the breath he had been holding.

"We were just leaving to go to Yoongi's house to hang. Want to come?" Hoseok asked Jimin, inching closer to him.

"What I don't remember–" They had not planned this. Hoseok threw his hand back and gave Yoongi a look.

"Sounds fun." Jimin looked right into Yoongi's eyes, smiling.
