"But you know Tae, you could've warned me before showing up." Jimin scolded the younger as he was suddenly reminded that Yoongi was still sleeping in his room. He set down his now empty coffee mug in the sink, crossing his arms and facing his best friend.
"I did." Tae retorted matter-of-factly. He lifted his head up off the dining room table.
"You did?"
"I called you, it rang until voicemail. Left a message also." He shrugged.
"Oh. I must've slept through that then." He trailed off.
"Really? You're not a very heavy sleeper."
"I was exhausted." Jimin cracked a smile and turned away, starting to walk to the living room, Tae following after him.
The younger furrowed his eyebrows and tapped his chin. "Did you stay at the studio after you talked with Yoongi?"
Jimin was going to say no, but decided it was best not to talk about it unless Yoongi was okay with it– even if it was his own best friend. "Yeah, working on some new hip hop choreo."
Tae nodded in understanding. "It must be pretty hardcore then."
"Yeah, it involves a lot of technique." Jimin wanted to laugh at the bullshit he was spouting but before he could, the two heard a thud and a loud groan.
Tae's eyes immediately widened before a boxy smile made its way onto his face, shooting Jimin a knowing look. "Late night at the studio huh?" He wiggled his eyebrows.
"What are you talking about–" Jimin tried to save himself, but he knew there was no coming back after that.
"Ah, then you won't mind if I go to your room for a second–"
"Shut up." Jimin threw a pillow at him, his face burning up.
"Can I go say hi?"
"You cannot!"
"Why not? We're all friends here."
Jimin stood up from the couch and began to push Tae towards the door. "I think you've overstayed your welcome, time to go now."
"But I was going to stay for lunch–"
"Maybe Hoseok wants lunch." And with that, Jimin closed his front door, locking it. "Love you Taetae." He said loud enough for him to hear on the other side.
Jimin sighed and went to check up on Yoongi, knocking on the door before entering. He saw the boy still sprawled out in bed, blanket up to his chin, his eyes open as he looked at Jimin.
"What happened?" Jimin laughed, shaking his head.
"I fell." He replied simply.
"Are you alright?" He laughed again, coming closer and sitting at the end of the bed in front of him. Yoongi slowly sat up, stretching a bit.
"Yeah, except now I'm pretty sure I have the biggest bruise on my ass." He scrunched up his nose, recalling how he had bumped into the side table.
"Can I see–"
"No."
The two stayed quiet for a couple moments, just staring at each other. The older shut his eyes and sat back against the headboard of the bed. He wasn't tired anymore, he just didn't want to have to look at Jimin watching him any longer, otherwise he'd surely feel his face start to burn.
"Don't fall asleep again." Jimin complained.
"I won't, just resting my eyes."
"Right, okay." He chuckled, placing a hand on Yoongi's leg and shaking it. "You have to work in a couple hours, don't you?"
