"This place is bigger than I thought. It looked much smaller from the outside." Yoongi said as the two began to walk around the arcade, trying to figure out where to start.
"Never judge by appearance." Jimin laughed.
The two continued walking and passed by a motorcycle racing game. Jimin quickly hopped on one of them, causing Yoongi to turn his attention towards him.
"Let's make a bet." Jimin said, motioning towards the motorcycle replica beside him. Yoongi sits on in, swiping his card in order to race Jimin.
"Whoever has the most wins by the time we both run out of credits to play has to do something for the winner. It can be anything." Jimin said, also swiping his card and picking his character and the track they were going to race on.
"You sure you want to go against me of all people?" He dared, glancing at him and smirking as the countdown for the race started.
"I'm up for the challenge."
"It's on." Yoongi said as he pulled on the gas when the countdown struck one.
The two didn't speak to each other for the rest of the race, staying completely focused. In reality, it was only about two minutes, but to them it felt like a lifetime as they kept passing each other at the checkpoints.
However, Yoongi was able to use his boost at the end while Jimin struggled to figure out which button the boost was. By the time he found it, Yoongi had already won first place.
"That didn't count, I couldn't find the button."
"Don't be a sore loser." Yoongi taunted as he got off the motorcycle and claimed his victory by throwing a fist in the air.
"Fine, but I'm definitely winning the rest."
They ended up playing basketball. Jimin kept aiming wrong while Yoongi was getting the ball in the hoop effortlessly every throw.
"I didn't know you were good at basketball. You don't look like the type to play it." Jimin huffed when Yoongi won. There was a huge gap in their scores and Jimin was a bit embarrassed.
"There's a lot of things you don't know about me Jimin." He stated and shrugged. "Also, never judge by appearance." He mocked.
"Fairly said. How about this then?" He asked, leading Yoongi over to a virtual jump roping game. Yoongi laughed.
"Really?"
"Yes." He nodded, completely serious.
"Alright then." Yoongi said, swiping his card and getting into place, waiting for the rope to come down. He lasted a while, but the rope slowed down really quickly after it had been speeding up for such a long time, causing him to mess up. Jimin took note of that, and when it was his turn, he prepared himself for it. He was able to pass Yoongi's score, making that his first win.
"How's that?" Jimin grinned, wanting to brag about his win.
"No big deal, I mean, it was just jump roping." Yoongi said and led him to another game. It was a multiplayer version of flappy bird. "Now this, this is where the real competition is at."
"Flappy bird? You're kidding me right? I hate this game."
"So do I, which makes it all the more fun." They swiped their cards and began. It didn't last very long at all.
Yoongi died at the first pipe, Jimin at the second.
They decided to never speak of it again, but still counted it as Jimin's win.
They went to play a shooting game, and whoever died first was the loser. This particular shooting game had a little dark dome that cloaked them from the outside, and it was a 3D horror game with zombies. Both of them admitted that they didn't do so hot when it came to anything horror related, so this would be a fun experience for the both of them.
Screaming, lots of screaming. Laughing when the other one screamed which was then interrupted by a scream of their own.
They both lasted, which made them have to swipe their cards again to continue the story, much to their dismay. They both wanted to get out of there.
Jimin died after three rounds, which allowed Yoongi to immediately jump out the dome afterwards, praising the light which was something completely out of the ordinary since he usually loved staying in the dark. He just didn't like the dark when zombies were involved.
Next up was a game that both Jimin and Yoongi knew Jimin was bound to win.
"Dance Dance Revolution." Yoongi sighed. "Listen, there's no way in hell I'll be able to beat you when it comes to this. I already accept my defeat, so lets play on hard mode and see what you're capable of doing."
"Sounds good to me." Jimin knew what he wanted if he were to win the bet, so accepting a free win was completely okay for him.
They picked the hardest song available.
Yoongi didn't even try, he gave up as soon as the arrows started appearing on the screen. He focused on one arrow and only hit that one.
Jimin on the other hand, though not close to being a pro at the game, somehow managed to keep his score up and not fail. He was jumping around crazily and even started to sweat a bit. Yoongi easily got distracted from his arrow pressing and watched the younger, admiring the concentrated look on his face even as his feet seemed like they would break off at any given moment.
When the song came to an end, as expected, Yoongi got an F while Jimin got a solid C. Jimin was extremely out of breath and was panting.
"You good?" Yoongi asked, patting him on the back.
"Just fine." He said between breaths. "Give me a second."
When Jimin finally caught his breath again, the two moved on to plenty of other games.
It eventually became a pattern. Yoongi would win a game, Jimin the next and so forth. They were highly competitive with each other the entire time.
In the end, when both of them ran out of money on their cards, Jimin won the most games, meaning that he won the bet.
"You somehow cheated. I won't accept it." Yoongi complained.
"Nope, a bet is a bet." Jimin smirked, nudging Yoongi's arm as they both walked out the arcade.
"Fine, what is it that you want?" Yoongi asked. "Or have you not thought of it yet? I didn't think of anything I wanted, so maybe it's a good thing that you won?"
"Oh, I knew what I wanted the second I came up with the bet." He smiled cheekily.
"And what would that be?" Yoongi furrowed his eyebrows.
"A video."
