Scared. Not in the sense of horror, like walking through a haunted house and having things pop up at you and chase you. But it wasn't in a sense of fear either, like being on the highest point of a rollercoaster and anxiously wondering when it was going to fall. If he were to describe it, he would say he was panic-stricken.

He was jittery, he was nervous, he wanted to scream, he didn't know what to do or how to act. It was the feeling of nausea, the feeling of of anticipation and the feeling of butterflies all at once. He was panic-stricken in a way that was both good and bad, but the bad outweighed the good. He should not even be feeling. He didn't want to participate in this feeling.

So in order to stop this new sudden feeling (and the unforeseen urge to just hold onto Jimin and never let him go), he decided that he would lock it up in the back of his mind and never think about it again. It was a new area. An area with one of those caution tape rolls wrapped all around it. An area with a sign that said, DO NOT CROSS, FORBIDDEN ENTRY!

And with that having been decided, he went on, doing his best to act completely normal and not scared. If anyone asked, his excuse would be that he was tired and didn't feel well.

Jimin noticed that Yoongi was a bit off from that moment on. He didn't once smile, his gaze never stayed too long on him and he just focused on getting the moves down (which he never did).

When Yoongi switched places with Jin, Jimin knew something was up and that it had to have something to do with himself. Otherwise, why would Yoongi keep avoiding the little smiles he gave him, or the secret winks that usually left him bright red? What could he possibly be upset about? Was he feeling guilty about Hoseok? Jimin would have to find out later.

To say he was worried would be an understatement.

Yoongi being mad at him was nothing new, but that didn't mean he liked when he was. It was the fact that he didn't know why that concerned him so much. When did Jimin start caring for Yoongi? A long time ago– he would admit that at least. He wanted to make sure he was okay because he didn't like the small pout on his face, no matter how cute he thought it was.

At one point as Jimin was observing Hoseok teach Yoongi, he noticed that he gave up. His focus was lost and he seemed like he was going to throw up. Jimin couldn't take it and walked over to him to see what was up.

"Hey are you okay?" He asked, searching the older's face for any sort of reply. The obvious answer would be no, but he still felt the need to ask.

"I'm going to go out for a bit of fresh air for a second." Yoongi excused himself as he walked around Jimin and out the building, standing right outside and leaning against the wall.

Ari practically forced Jimin to go outside and check on him ten minutes after he left. Jimin left Hoseok in charge before rushing out to find Yoongi exactly where he had been standing since he first left.

"Hey." He greeted carefully, walking over to him. He didn't receive any type of response. "What's wron–"

"I'm just really overwhelmed." He snapped. Overwhelmed, another accurate word to describe exactly how he felt.

"You know, you can tell me anything." Jimin half smiled and reached out to grab his hand. Yoongi pulled his hand away before he could grasp it and shook his head.

"Don't."

Jimin's face fell.

"I'm not sure what you–"

"This is wrong!" Yoongi raised his tone a bit.

The two fell silent, neither acknowledging each other for the next couple minutes.

As the time started to pass by, actual fear started to build within Jimin. Not the same panic stricken fear Yoongi had, but actual legitimate fear.

"Let's not, us, anymore..." Yoongi finally spoke up in a soft voice.

"What?" Jimin questioned, unsure of what he meant– though in the back of his mind, he knew exactly what he meant. And the fear began to eat him up even more.

"Nothing, no, nevermind. Forget I said anything." Yoongi lifted himself up off the wall and began making his way back into the building.

"Yoongi what are you talking about?" Jimin grabbed his hand, holding him in place.

"Nothing. Everything is fine, okay?"

Jimin didn't know whether he should be relieved or even more terrified.

He didn't even know why he was scared.

Actually, that was complete bullshit. He knew exactly why he was scared.

Yoongi meant something to him. He didn't want to lose him. He had been pushing it back for a while since it seemed that Yoongi didn't want what he did. But, he might as well confess it to himself now.

He liked Yoongi. In a non platonic way.

And he knew that it was bad, since they were just friends with benefits or whatever they classified their little relationship as.

Maybe Jimin had made it too obvious and Yoongi figured it out before he himself did and didn't want to be near him anymore?

He was scared of losing Yoongi, but he was mostly scared of how Yoongi would react if he ever decided to tell him.

After another moment, Yoongi snatched his hand away, offering a fake, placid smile before entering the building and going back to learning the choreo.

Now it was Jimin's turn to think. He didn't follow the blonde back inside. He needed a minute to breathe himself.

After all he didn't quite know what was going on in his own mind and in Yoongi's, but it was causing him a great amount of stress.

"What's up?" Taehyung peeped his head out the front door and looked to the side at Jimin before allowing himself to step out and walk towards his best friend.

"Fuck." Jimin mumbled.

"I know, I know." Taehyung laughed whole heartedly, completely understanding the situation without any words needing to be said.
