To Hate and to Love

Chapter 2

"Ellie!", someone screams down the hall, "there's something I have to tell you!" Ellie stops and looks behind her to see who it is. It's Jaime of course, who else would scream down the hallway?

When Jaime catches up to her, out of breath, they walk slowly to class together. "So today, I heard Adam was crying in first hour," Jaime says between breaths.

"And why does this concern me?" Ellie asks.

"He was crying because of you, he thinks you hate him or something. He has crush on you!"

Ellie fake gags and starts cracking up "Ewwww he's so gross why him! Ewwwww!" Jaime starts laughing too and they both practically fall on the floor in tears, they're laughing so hard. Ellie rolls her eyes and says, "Why do I always get all the nerds?"

They turn into art class and sit down at their table. "So, about Adam- Jaime starts.

"Alright, I've taken attendance now go get your projects and get to work." The art teacher, Ms. Ekloff, says in a lazy tone.

She's an interesting art teacher, she has oversized boobs that everyone thinks are implants. Her hair is dyed a new color every month. Ms. Ekloff wears glasses that have a pink rim. She's very strange and secretive. You know those kinds of people that always seem like they're hiding something? That's what she's like.

Jaime goes to get Ellie and her's art projects. When she sits back down she continues, " What are you gonna do about the whole Adam thing?" She asks.

"Adam? I don't know, just ignore him I guess. What am I supposed to do?" Ellie responds.

Jaime raises her eyebrows and smiles a devilish smile "Ask him out!" She says between giggles.

"Um, ya, no. How about you ask him out?" Ellie says, with a hint of anger.

"Nooooooooooooo I hate boys! And he has acne everywhere!"

"Exactly. Anyway I don't want to play a joke on him and see him cry! Then I'll feel bad. Besides, he probably doesn't actually like me anyway, I'm too ugly. All the guys like pretty girls."

"What!" Jaime exclaims, "Have you seen the way he looks at you? He likes you ALOT!

"Well you didn't see him crying or hear what he said at that moment. Some of the kids probably just made it up. So I'm just gonna hope it's all a joke. It better be." Ellie replies.

Please let it all be a joke, Ellie thinks. Please. She doesn't believe it though, no matter how hard she tries. He does like her, and it's disgusting.
