Ellie gazes around her bedroom, the yellow walls, the lady bug quilt, the floor covered in clothes, books and other miscellaneous objects. She is laying on her bed thinking about how to solve this whole Adam thing. She doesn't want to make him cry, but she also doesn't want to be too nice. How is she supposed to tell him that he's really creepy and weird? That it will never happen?
Ellie sighs and heaves herself off her bed. She looks at herself in the mirror leaning against the wall. She doesn't understand what he sees in her. Her features are plain, nothing too pretty. Her hair is blond and thin. She has large, dark blue eyes, probably one of the prettiest things about her. Not to mention the acne creeping across her face. Guys only like the pretty girls, everyone knows that. Like honestly, who would ever have a crush on her?
____________________________The next day, Ellie sits in her science class waiting for Mr. Yaughn to take attendence. His name just so happens to describe how boring he is. He's an old guy, he's pretty short and has a bald spot right on top of his head. Sometimes he can be funny, but he usually just drones on about science.
To her surprise, Mr. Yaughn announces a seat change. The sound of excitement reverberates around the room. Mr Yaughn pulls up the seating chart on the screen in the front of the class. Ellie desperately looks for where she will be sitting. It's a pretty good spot near the front. Then she looks who she's sitting next to.
Of all people, it's none other than the infamous Adam.
