In between first and second hour, the students get a ten minute break instead of a five minute break. The cafeteria serves breakfast to kids then, so they need a longer time to get to class.
During this time Reagan decides she's going to have a little talk with Adam. About Ellie.
It sounds like she's trying to be an adult, but that's not her reason for talking to Adam. She wants Adellie to be real. She's gonna tell Adam everything Ellie sees in boys so she ends up falling for him.
The only thing is, if Ellie somehow found out she told Adam all this about her, then it would be like the movies. Where the two break up over a lie.
Adam's second hour is band, and so is Ellie's, so Reagan will do her best to avoid her sister's rage.
Reagan looks at her watch when she finally gets to the band room. She has about seven minutes to have a conversation with Adam. She finds him in the trumpet section, because of course he plays the trumpet. She stands a few feet away from him and beckons for him to come.
Adam looks at her and rolls his eyes. He continues to practice his trumpet. She reacts, walking over to his chair and kicking it.
He looks at her, obviously annoyed. "What do you want?!"
"To talk." Reagan says, calmly.
"Do you really think I would want to talk with you when you dragged me down the hallway this morning?" Adam says, raising his voice.
Reagan hadn't thought about that before. Of course he wouldn't want to talk with her.
"Well-" She started.
"Just go away," Reagan stands there a moment. She opens her mouth to talk but Adam interjects, "JUST GO!"
She decides it's hopeless to try and argue with him. She turns around and walks out of the room. She has four minutes left to get to math, which is more than enough time. As she's walking she thinks,
'Now it's on to plan B. Get his phone number'
