A huge bang interrupted the silence that had recently fallen after the short conversation. This startled the three of you; You, Jim and Silver. Silver darted up the stairs first, then Jim helped you up you both and ran after Silver side by side.

The trap door to the main deck swung open, and the first thing you saw was everyone running around, worried and hastedly complying to whatever orders Mr. Arrow and Amelia assigned them to do.

"What's going on?!" You said, raising your voice to at least let Jim hear it. He stared at you, a little confused and worried about whatever was going on.

"I.. I don't know." He shook his head. You sighed and ranto the Captain's deck, making sure you don't bump into any of the passing crewmates. Amelia was yelling out orders, and so was Mr. Arrow.

You turned to where Doppler was, and the poor guy was looking around for his telescope. "What's going on, doc?!" You yelled with whatever your throat could bear, catching up to him in the captain's deck. The doctor finally had one hand on the telescope and he directed to a distant explosion. He gasped the moment he took one look from the telescope.

"The star Perlusa," he said a little shakily, "It's gona... Supernova!"

"It's gone... Super what?!" You repeated, wide-eyed and frightened. You felt this danger as common, which you once again found odd since half of you was sure that you've never been in an adventure like this before. Yet that lingering feeling of familairity stayed, and you couldn't help but take it in, accepting it as what might have been your past life.

You stared at the explosion which grew larger in the distance, sending waves that nearly knocked you out. Jim immediately helped you up, "(Y/N), be careful.." he said, making you redden a little. You would've said yout thanks if it weren't for Amelia's orders directing to you.

"Both of you, help close the sails and secure the life lines," She said with a tone of authority, a tone you couldn't help but listen to. Amelia turned to the alien-humanoid creature in charge of the steering wheel, "We have to turn back!"
The person in charge immediately nodded and got right to it, turning the ship slowly because of some vacuum force the explosion suddenly made.

Immediately, you and Jim made a run for the rope ladders. Though before you could start to climb, a warm, shaky hand stopped you by grabbing your wrist, and you turned to see scared and wide blue eyes staring back at your (E/C) ones.

"Jim, what are you...?" You knitted your eyebrows in confusion. You wanted to comfort him, tell him things will be alright, but you can't just stand there and waste time.

"(Y/N), it's too dangerous," he said, enveloping your hand in his, "I'll get up there. You stay here and secure the life lines. I'll... I'll go help them up ahead."

"Jim, I'll be fine-"

"Look, I just-" Jim looked down, his grip on your hand growing tighter with worry. "I don't want you to get hurt. Please just stay here..."

You hated yourself for nodding, but when his eyes looked up at you, begging for you to stay safe, you stayed. He did his task, climbing up with the others and securing the sails. Meanwhile, you secured his and your other crewmates' life lines, which was anline of rope tied around their bodies in one end, while it was tied to the center of the ship on the other end.
As captain Amelia raised more orders and you followed them, making sure not to make yourself do anything dangerous for Jim's sake, you couldn't help but think deeply about what you thought about the boy.

Why was this taking an effect on you all of a sudden? You knew he'd made an odd impression towards you, but that just made you open up to him, strange enough as it is. Somehow, James Hawkins was the boy who made you feel secure. In a situation like this, you couldn't help but want to hug him and let him stay with you.
