Colleen's POV

The whole drive to Santa Barbra I could not stop thinking of Joshua. His perfect smile, his bright blue eyes, his naive waving brown hair. Every single thing so far I'm in love with. As soon as I walk into my parents house I say hello to everyone that was present and as soon as I could I texted Joshua immediately to let him know I was safe and in Santa Barbra. Throughout the evening I was mostly texting Josh. "Who's the guy?" I hear a voice say to me as I am replying to his question. I look up and Teeny and Rachel are sitting next to me on the couch. "uh no one. Who said it was a guy." I say surprised and trying to hide my phone. "Come on Colleen, do we have 'stupid' written across our foreheads? Who is he?" Teeny replies. "uh um." I say looking down. "OH MY GOD" Teeny screams aloud. "Colleen you didn't!" She adds a little more silent. "okay I moved into his building!" I say knowing exactly what she means. "Colleen isn't he with that pretty blonde chick?" Teeny asks. "I'll ask him." I say confidently.

Colleen- hey um remember the girl you were at lunch with when we saw each other, who was that?

I press send and it takes him a few seconds to respond.

Joshua- oh! Heather? She's just a friend. She lives across the hall from us.

I smile at myself and show the text to teeny. She winks at me then leaves.

It gets pretty late and I decide to drive home tomorrow. But I stay up all night texting and getting to know Joshua. I know so much about him! His favourite colour is red, he's in love with love, he is from Macon Georgia, his dream is to become a husband and father which I think is really sweet. He is also a Youtuber and makes some tax income. He moved to New York first to become an actor but then decided YouTube was similar and a better decision. I really want to ask him out but is it to soon? Am I even ready? The answer to these questions are, I'm not sure.
