~Two weeks later~

Josh's POV
it's now two weeks later and Colleen is basically my girlfriend but she's not ready. Last week I asked her out but she told me she wasn't ready and I respect her decision. Today I'm taking her out to lunch just as friends though. We're going out at noon so I go to her place to pick her up at 11:30. I knock at her door then open it, her place is really coming along. she's unpacked pretty much everything and it all looks really nice. She not in the living room or her office so I check in her room and she's not in sight, but bathroom door is closed. "Colleen! Are you in there?" I ask knocking on the door. I hear sniffling on the other side of the door. I burst through the door and her head is buried in her knees as she's sobbing on her bathroom floor. "Colleen, Oh my god what happened!" I yell kneeling down to her level. I grab her arm and as I do so she leaps into my arms and hugs me tight. I sit on the floor with my legs crossed as she sits in my lap, crying in my chest. "hey hey Colleen look at me," I get her attention. She looks up at my with a tear stained face. "what happened?" "Well last night I had a dream that I walked into your apartment to find you dead on the ground. You had been shot and so the guy that shot you was still there and then he raped me.." she tries to catch her breath but I don't want to hear anymore. "shhh baby everything is gonna be okay. We're all okay." I comfort her. Wait! Did I just call her 'baby'? What the fuck, where did that come from. But she didn't look at me strange or correct me, she went along with it. She hides her face back in my neck as I gently rub her arm with one hand and rub her back with the other. She stops crying and thanks me for comforting her. "let's do lunch tomorrow. we'll stay in today, is that okay?" I ask her. she wipes her tears away and nods smiling. I am so in love with this woman but she doesn't know it yet.

Colleen's POV
I had the worst nightmare last night and Josh came to my apartment and didn't leave me all day. We sat in my apartment watching documentaries and reality trash television, eating junk in my sweatpants and t-shirt all day. I caught Josh looking down my shirt a few times as I lay and watched tv with him. But I didn't say anything I just smiled to myself. "hey Colleen, imma go do about an hours worth of workout in the buildings gym I'll be back." Josh says grabbing his phone off of the coffee table. "no. I don't want to be alone." I say grabbing his arm. "can I come?" I ask letting go of his arm. "sure" he says. I get up and follow him through the halls until we reach the gym. "oh um I hope you don't mind but I usually don't wear a shirt during my workouts." "oh ya that's cool" I reply pretending that it's nothing but this is the first time I'm going to see him shirtless. He removes his shirt and I'm speechless. He is perfect (ok this is me fangirling over Josh when he's shirtless) He catches me staring at him. "watch a looking at there?" he asks smirking at me. I immediately blush. "um okay but don't pretend that you weren't looking down my shirt when I was laying on your lap." his face turns red. "you saw that?" he asks. I nod smiling. "well then.." he says. I giggle and he starts his workout. I don't take my eyes off of him for the whole hour he is working out.
