" Huy, Kimmy! Ano gusto mo? Ako na mag order. "
They were in an ice cream parlor near their dorm. They went out to grab some ice cream because of the hot weather. Kim and Cyd always do this. Go out, just the two of them, but just as friends.
" Hmm, cookies and cream na lang. " Kim answered while looking at the menu.
" Sige, hanap ka na ng table. I'll order na lang. "
Kim left and Cyd started to ordered. She ordered a cookie and cream ice cream shake for Kim while she ordered a banana split for herself. Moments like these are the ones she treasures. She hates to admit it but she likes Kim. More than a friend. And she's not sure if Kim feels the same. With all these mixed signals, them being touchy touchy, those tweets on twitter, these kind of moments, it made her feel confused.
After paying up, she got their order and went to where Kim was. She was sitting near the window. Kim was on her phone, frowning. Cyd frowned and called out to Kim who was too busy frowning at her phone.
" Huy, Kimmy! Ano ba problema mo? " She asked while sitting down infront of Kim.
She placed their orders on the table and waited Kim to answer. Kim remained quiet. Cyd raised her eyebrows and look at Kim. Huminga naman ng malalim si Kim and from that, Cyd knew what her problem was. And it made her heart shatter.
" Siya ba nanaman? " She answered, a little bit to bitterly but Kim was too busy frowning to notice.
" Bakit ba ang bilis niya maka-move on? Di ko gets. " Naiinis na pasagot ni Kim.
" Baka naman kasi 'di ka niya minahal. " Cyd answered truthfully and para namang sinampal si Kim.
" Anong pinagsasabi mo diyan? " Kim asked while glaring at Cyd.
Cyd sighed before speaking. " Kasi naman, two years kayong nag sama and then ganyan ganyan na lang? "
Kim countered back, " Eh, bakit kami tatagal ng two years kung di niya ako mahal? "
" Maybe she fell out of love. "
Kim was silent after and just ate her ice cream. Cyd sighed, knowing the Kim still hasn't accepted the fact that she and her ex are over. It's frustrating to see Kim like this. Not seeing the people who's ready to love her. Kim is not seeing her. And pagod na pagod na doon si Cyd. She just grumbled frustratedly and ate her split as well.
Ganyan lang sila for a few minutes, quiet and may tag sa-sariling isip. Until Kim spoke up.
" Ano ba mali sa akin? " Kim asked, and for the first time tonight, Cyd wanted to cry.
No, she's not being emotional. She's just disappointed that Kim thinks so lowly of herself. Staring at Kim, halos mangiyak ngiyak na ang hitsura nito. Cyd answered with the words her heart have been dying to say.
