I loved the rain. I loved how it softened the outlines of things. The world became blurred and I felt like I melted right into it. I think I had started to become a pluviophile.
I looked out of the window and raindrops fell gently on the window pane. I looked in the other direction to see Brent, sleeping peacefully. Both the sights as beautiful as the other one.
I poked him a little and he woke up.
"Oh I'm sorry, were you sleeping?" I asked, acting fake innocent. He just laughed a little, then shifted to the other side of the bed and shut his eyes.
"Ughh do you really want to sleep? I mean there are a lot of other exciting things we can do. The possibilities are infinite" I said.
"Three out of the four voices in my head want to sleep, and the other wants to know if penguins have knees" He mumbled into the pillow. I giggled at his adorable state.
I continued to poke him and at last, he was wide awake.
"Don't you see Brent? It's beautiful outside. We could do so many things" I said.
"I think I'm fine right here, as long as you're with me" He said and smiled.
His beautiful brown eyes pierced right into mine. This was so rare, this time we had, the probability was like one in a million. We were always too caught up in other things that we forgot to find happiness in the little things of life, such as simply doing nothing but enjoying each other's presence.
His fingers wrapped around my tiny ones. We both kept leaning in. I shut my eyes as our foreheads touched. His forehead was wet from tiny droplets of sweat and his hair was a mess, a cute mess.
He was so close that I could hear his heartbeat. It was so fast. His cardiac muscle pumped blood through his vascular system really quickly and It was good to know that it was just because of me.
He placed a kiss on my forehead, making me feel the best feeling I've ever felt. The feeling of pure love.
"I love you" I said.
"The best love is the kind that doesn't even need words to express itself and that's what you've given me. That's what I hope I give you forever. I love you too Y/N" He said.
