The smell of the mud lingered in my nose. Everything was so pleasant specially when Brent was with me. The playground was empty and all the other kids went home.
"My mom would be so mad at me!" I said finally, I had mud all over my clothes.
"I know but" he blushed. "You're really nice, will you be my special friend?" he said.
"Uhm, yes!" I also turned red.
"That's good. See you tomorrow!" he hugged me.
"Bye." I giggled.
~Present Day~
Years later, standing in the balcony I was still waiting for that tomorrow. I know, I know for sure he won't come back but my heart just won't accept the fact.
It was amazing how just a few speckles of rain could bring back so many memories.
