You and Brent were in the same school. He was in the detention because he made a vine of a teacher. And you are in the detention because you were caught eating your lunch at the back of math with your best friend.
Your best friend's boyfriend was in detention too because she told him to do something mischievous so he can give her company in detention.
Then the teacher makes you sit with Brent and you both small-talk and even make a vine about 'things to do in detention'. So, detention wasn't really detention.
Then Brent suddenly looks into your eyes and was about to say something when suddenly the teacher comes back in and you both jumped back into your seats. Then another student who was in detention tells him about what you guys were doing and the teacher makes a face and says, "Eww gross!! leave this room already!!".
You both leave high fiving and go hang out somewhere. And your best friend and her boyfriend get stuck in detention :P
