One by one, the beastly whale-things filed out of the portal and floated on air, down into the city slowly, but violently. Little minion-aliens followed along with it on their hover crafts, gaining more in numbers.

"Guys..." said Natasha, raisin up her hand gun.

"Call it captain!" said Tony, who was now standing on the ground next to everyone.

"Alright, listen up! Until we can close that portal, our priority is containment!  Barton, I want you on that roof, eyes on everything, calling out patterns and strays. Stark, you got the perimeter. Anything that goes more than three blocks out, you turn it back or you turn it to ash!" commanded Steve.

"Can you give me a lift?" asked Clint, turning to Stark.

"Right. Better clench up, Legolas!" replied Stark, as he grabbed Clint and rocketed up towards the top of a building.

"Thor, you got to try and bottleneck that portal. Slow them down. You got the lightning, light those beasts up!... Oh, and I want you to take Terra with you, show her how it's done!" He turned to Terra and winked at her, in a way of saying, 'don't worry'.

Terra looked a little confused, then nodded her head slightly in a sort of, 'yes'. Instantly, she felt Thor scoop her up and fly away to the tallest building near the portal.

Steve turned to Natasha. "You and me, we stay here on the ground. We keep the fighting here. ... And Hulk!"

Hulk snarled and turned to Steve for the order.

"Smash!"

Hulk grinned in delight and in no more than a second was he leaping off the ground and bounding at the nearest enemy, throwing them, punching them, or either smashing them. He was having fun.

...

Thor landed on the roof of a tall and narrow tower, leaning against the pole on the very top. He held on tight with his left arm around Terra, as he raised his hammer in the air with his right hand. He inhaled deeply and turned to Terra. "You might want to hold on..." He smirked and looked up to the sky. Dark clouds began to form and thunder was sounding deeply in the air. Thor's hammer sparked and then instantly, a large bolt shot from the sky, striking it, sending electric shocks everywhere.

Terra closed her eyes tight and held onto Thor for dear life. The electric shocks sparked up and down the sides of the building, until Thor let out a war-cry and thrust his hammer forward, sending the lightning bolting towards the portal. The strong bolts shocked and killed many aliens and pushed back three, large alien-beasts back into the portal-hole.

After that was taken care of, Terra was still clinging onto Thor, hiding her face in his red cape. Thor chuckled as he looked down at her. He moved out of the way a little and said, "It's over! you can look now!"

Terra slowly opened her eyes and looked around. She smiled and laughed. That was awesome!

Thor held out his hand to her. "Come on, we still have work to do!"

She accepted his hand, but right when their fingers touched, Terra jolted her hand back when she felt a sharp SPARK prick her finger. "Ow! You shocked me, Thor!" She glared at him, but he just laughed. He grabbed her hand again and flew off to another part of the city. They landed on a concrete building in the center of the city and got in ready stance.

"Terra, I think you should go somewhere safe! You are not meant to fight here!" said Thor.

"I know. But if there was any way I could, I will do it gladly! It is my fault that this has all happened." Terra bowed her head in shame. If she would have just listened and trusted her friends, the portal never would have opened... Now, it's too late.
