"So, Terra. How old are you?" asked Thor. He was sitting next to her in one of the jet-seats, and was anxious in getting to know her better. She seemed interesting.
"Eighteen." Terra replied softly.
"Let me guess, Junior?" asked Tony, who was standing in the back.
"Senior." she corrected him, giving him a smirking glare.
Tony just laughed and turned to Steve, who was sitting down on the other side of Thor. "Does she even look like a Senior to you?"
Steve coughed in surprise. "Um,..." He peered over Thor and saw Terra, who looked a little nervous from being the sudden, center-of-attention. He shot a glance back at Tony and replied with thought, "Actually, yes."
She raised an eyebrow.
"Yah, I guess. " muttered Tony. "But she's still a kid!" He winked at her, but all he received was a cold glare.
Terra looked down at her feet and engulfed the sudden silence that haunted the jet. All she could hear was the humming of it's engines and the beating of her own heart. She could feel eyes lingering on her... It made her nervous.
"We're here! Brace yourselves!" shouted Natasha, disturbing the silence. She landed the aircraft onto a runway, until it halted to a stop. The back door opened up, allowing everyone to exit. Steve and Tony once again had Loki by the arms, dragging him along speedily towards the building.
A line of S.H.I.E.L.D. soldiers marched up to them and offered to take the God of Mischief away, and were then approved. Terra and the others tailed behind them, until they entered through the building doors, exhausted by what happened last night. Natasha made her way to her room as well as the others to probably wash up a little, while Thor stayed in the lab to have a conversation with Agent Coulson, about some girl named Jane. Terra on the other hand, had better things in mind.
She decided to explore this place once more and look around at all the cool things one could find at an agent-base. Nothing could surprise her more.
Terra strode down hallway after hallway, peering in each side-room that happened to be open. She stopped though, when she came upon one that seemed most intriguing... Probably for the reason that Dr. Banner and Tony were inside.
She stepped quietly into the room, so not to alert them instantly, and continued to peer around in fascination. Her eyes fell upon a white table where Loki's long scepter was laid out, being examined by Dr. Banner. She jumped slightly when she heard a voice from behind her ask, "Hey, Terra! Want a blueberry?" It was Tony.
Terra spun around and met his gaze. She smiled in response and plucked a berry from the bag he was holding. She then walked towards the table that held the scepter and lifted an eyebrow in confusion on what Dr. Banner was doing to it.
Banner looked up from his work and smiled when he saw her. "Oh! Terra, nice to see your back and alive!"
Terra smiled back and asked, "What are you doing?"
"Oh, I'm scanning the scepter to see if I can find any traces of gama-rays left behind by the Tesseract. It might give us some clues to where Loki sent it."
"Now, what is this 'Tesseract' everyone talks about?"
But before Banner could reply, the sounds of footsteps echoed outside the door. Suddenly a dozen of armed soldiers came into view along with Loki in the center of the marching group. When they passed by, he glanced through the glass window of the room and smirked evilly at Dr. Banner. Terra caught a glimpse of him pinching the bridge of his nose like he had a headache. How come Banner looked so stressed all of a sudden? Just as quick as they arrived, the soldiers left out of sight and continued marching down the hallway.
