Chapter 16

Dreams, the one thing we all want to come true. Some are amazing while others must be just that, a dream.

SPOV

8:45 PM

I wake up frantically looking around confused about my location. Once I realized I was back at the hotel the memory of what happened hours ago hit me.  Wanting a distraction from the unbearable pain in my heart I lazily began packing my bags for my flight in a few hours. I came across one of Ally's shirts, it was a black muscle tee one of the few shirts Ally had worn the most. I hugged the shirt as my vision was blurred by tears. I tried blinking back the tears but instead they fell anyway. I sat on the floor crying silently not wanting anyone to hear me and come in the room. I hear the door open and I mumble a small 'I'm fine.'

A- Honey I'm home!

My eyes widened as her voice filled the room.

S- Ally?
A- Hi pretty.

Ally appeared in my line of sight with her signature goofy smile on her face. I dropped the shirt and covered my mouth with my hands as I let happy tears fall from my eyes. I stood up and hugged Ally with every bit of strength I had.

A- Woah! I knew you would miss me but I didn't know it'd be this much. I only went to the bathroom you know?

Ally laughed lightly as I laughed with her. I pulled back from the hug just enough to see her face. I stared into her eyes, they were their usual lively green with streaks of brown, blue, and slight yellow. I put my hand on her cheek, she leant into my touch and connected our lips for a kiss. The kiss was slow, careful and caring. It was full of unspoken love and promises that we both knew we'd keep. Eventually we pulled away and I put my forehead on hers closing my eyes and thinking.

S- You're.... real?
A- Yes.
S- You're alive?
A- Last time I checked my heart was still thumping.

I smiled and stood there silently before my eyes shot open and I gasped.

S- What about your bullet wound?!?!

Ally furrowed her eyebrows and looked at me confused as her bottom lip poked out slightly.

A- My what?

I quickly pulled up Ally's shirt searching her stomach for a patch or some stitches, but there was nothing. I lightly dragged my fingers across her injury free stomach when it hit me.

S- It was all a dream.
A- What was?
S- You were kidnapped by some guy and I went to save you and you got shot. The doctor said you didn't make it and-
A- Shhhhh it's alright I'm here and I'm fine, see?

I sighed content with Ally's words. I embraced her in another hug taking a deep breath while Ally rubbed my back gently.

A- You ok?
S- I was, but now I'm stressed out.
A- How can I make it better?
S- Just hold me, please?

Ally nodded and picked me up placing me on the bed and handing me the blankets. After a few moments of silence Ally joined me pulling me toward her and slightly tightening her hold on me.

S- I love you.
A- I love you more.
S- Don't think that's possible.

Ally smiled and hid her face in my neck. We stayed like this for a while, enjoying the feeling of holding each other. Her breathing was steady signaling she was sleeping, and I could feel her slow heartbeat on the pulse of her neck. I smiled overjoyed at the fact that it was all a dream. As I started to fall asleep Ally's heart began racing and her breathing became short and labored. A warm liquid pooled on the sheets of the bed and Ally got up holding her stomach before looking at her hand. I stood up shocked as tears filled my eyes and Ally looked at me. Her eyes full of fear and disbelief as she stared at my right hand her bottom lip began to quiver and she dropped to her knees. I looked at my hand only to find a all black hand gun as tears poured down my face.
