SPOV

4:25 AM

I woke up looking at my phone checking the time. It's hella early and I'm hella tired and cold. I groan rolling over expecting Ally to be laying in her usual position ready for me to cuddle into her, but I'm disappointed when I'm instead met with a cold empty space and her pillow. I grabbed it covering my face as I let out a choked cry.

S- It was all a dream...

I felt the bed dip behind me and arms wrap around me. The smell of chocolate invaded my nose as a kiss was placed on my temple, I froze before I realized who the person was.

A- Morning gorgeous, why were you crying?

I rolled over in her arms coming face to face with a worried Ally and immediately pressed our lips together. She was caught off guard by my action but kissed back before pulling away and resting my forehead on her shoulder.

S- I thought you were still gone, that I'd dreamt you returned like so many nights before.

Ally sat me in her lap hugging me tightly, rocking us lightly, while we sat in silence. I cried silently into her chest soaking her shirt with my tears but she didn't seem to mind, she welcomed my tears silently begging for me to release every feeling I've been holding in for what feels like years.

5:00 AM

A- I'm sorry.

I sat up looking at her saddened expression. She practically radiated regret and guilt so I straddled her so we would be at eye level. Her eyes were focused on the ceiling her fingers making random shapes on my thigh.

S- It's not your fault.

Ally looked at me and squinted her eyes confused.

A- How could you say that? Everything is always my fault, ever since day one everything that happened is because of something I did-well didn't do.

5:45 AM

My heart dropped hearing how she placed every issue on her shoulders and for the first time since we've been together I didn't know what to do. We just looked into each other's eyes, the only sound was the light wind blowing in through an open window. The air was tense and slightly awkward I sat with my mouth hanging open like an idiot.

A- Kiss me?

Our eyes met, hers pleading mine slightly anxious.

S- Ally...

She wrapped her arms around my waist pulling me impossibly closer to her. She brought her face centimeters away from mine, causing her lips to lightly brush over mine. My breath hitched as our eyes met, hers slightly darker, the yellows were taken over by a dark green lust filled color, making her pupils dilate. 

A- Please just one innocent little kiss?

I shouldn't be hesitant about this, she is my wife after all. I shouldn't think twice and just cut off her sentences with a kiss full of love and happiness that she's here... It's just that something seems off about her.

A- Stevie?

Shit I'm thinking too long. Just do it now think later. I let out a shaky breath, licked my lips and nodded tangling my fingers in her hair and forcing a confident smile.
