Draxxen stands there, staring at Wes' hand. Confused, but more intrigued than anything. "How did you do that?"
Wes puts the pin back in Draxxen's robe. "Well.. I'm sort of protected by a god until I turn 18, so now my body heals any wound almost instantly. Apparently a god owed my father a favor after he cleared out their temple of bandits, and he used that favor to protect me till I become an adult."
Draxxen looks at Wes' hand trying to find any sort of Mark from the pin but sees nothing. "How much longer does this protection last?"
"About 2 months, but that should be more than enough time to help you learn about your spell right?"
Draxxen goes over the possibilities trying to find something wrong with the plan, finnaly conceding after about a minute of silence. "Fine. Meet me in your dorm three hours from now, and I'll tell you what to do." Without another word Draxxen walks off, leaving Wes and the keeper behind.
The keeper looks at Wes. "Rather surprising that you have divine protection, your father sounds like a nice person. To go through something like that to receive a favor from the gods, and then use it to protect his son."
"My dad is the whole reason I'm here, the stories my uncle told me of him made me want to become an adventurer like him, so that the next time we meet I could share stories with him too. Well, I should get going, thank you for your help." Wes starts to walk away, while he's walking the keeper says back to him.
"No, thank you. Now Draxxen has a way to work on his spell faster. Work hard and remember our promise." Wes gives a thumbs up as he turns the corner and leaves the library and heads to his room.
A few hours pass and wes was waiting in his room for Draxxen to arrive. As he was about to step outside to look for Draxxen someone knocked on his door and let themselves in, it was Draxxen.
"Good you're here, are you ready?" Without waiting for a response he pulls out a small blue notebook and hands it to Wes. "Read this, and try to make it work for you," and Draxxen leaves without another word.
Wes just stands there for a few seconds, not sure how to feel about that interaction and sits down on his bed, looking at the notebook. He flips through some of the pages seeing detailed drawings of different body parts, each with a brief remark on how they would be affected by enhancing them. Eventually Wes finds a page on legs and starts reading it.
'Much like the effect with arms, it seems that the process of this spell removes the limits of the body placed on the legs. Meaning that it could be possible to outrun lightning with this in use. Though it's not without its bad effects though, running faster than your body allows will likely result in legs being broken and twisted within seconds, and if speed is accelerated far beyond that point it could prove to strenuous on the rest of the body, likely destroying every bone in the body and more.'
As Wes reads the entry he can't help but get both excited and frightened, and starts looking for an explanation on how to use the spell, finding it in the last pages of the book.
'To use this, one must be willing to accept the consequences, and have a worthy goal in mind. Once a feeling of importance starts to flow through you, concentrate it to body part you wish to enhance and speak a phrase true to your desires.'
Wes begins to contemplate a worthy goal when a slip of paper slides out of the notebook. Wes picks it up and starts to read.
'Wes, on the back cover of the notebook there's a map of the school. Once you find what you're looking for use this slip to find me'
Wes turns the slip over to find that it has the tracking set up on it, and turns the notebook over to find a small drawing of the map. Wes places the slip on the notebook and it tracks Draxxen walking down a hallway to large room and starts heading that way.
