#50 Little Spoon

LITTLE SPOON

Harry's POV

"Daddy, you need to wake up," Bella whispers, delivering tiny pokes to my cheeks. "There's monsters in my bedroom. One is in the closet and one is under my bed." Childish fear was laced within her soft tone. If it wasn't for her mother's absence, I would've instructed her to return to her own room. Y/N is much stricter when it comes to teacher her bravery and independence.

Things aren't the same for me. Bella has had me wrapped around her finger since day one. There's just something about her that rarely makes me want to tell her no. She's like a little witch who only knows the spell of cuteness. Talk about a daddy's girl.

My eyes flutter open when she attempts to part my lips. "You can stay in here, gumdrop, but just know there's nothing in your room," I do my best to assure her.

The next thing I know, she's nestling herself into my chest just like her mum does sometimes. "Thank you," she murmurs.

Careful not to hurt her, I drape my arm around her and rub comforting circles onto her back. For a few moments she fidgets and let's out content sighs, but her breathing eventually evens out. When I'm sure she's asleep, I place a small kiss to her forehead and prepare to fall back asleep myself.

Upon waking up, I see Bella sleeping soundly with her legs pulled to her chest. The simple sight is enough to make me smile in adoration. I mean, who wouldn't when they see a five-year-old girl dressed in Hello Kitty pajamas?

As I continue laying down, I enjoy the morning sunlight and the sight of my sweet Isabella. It's not until nine-thirty that I decide it's time to go get our breakfast started. She usually gets cranky when she's hungry.

"Daddy," a small voice calls just as I'm sitting up.

"Oh, good morning, gumdrop," I say, looking into her tired green eyes.

She lets out a cute yawn. "Good morning."

"You wanna help me cook."

Her face suddenly lights up. "Mhmm!"
