A/N: I was supposed to publish this a few days ago but then Wattpad became a bitch to me again and deleted the whole chapter, I have to rewrite it whole. I'm cry. Anyways, here's the last chapter! Enjoy!
Patience. That is one thing that you could never have. Everyone is aware of the fact that you have a very thin patience.
Waiting was never your thing. So the fact that you are awkwardly sitting on a bench in the quadrangle was a huge miracle.
And yes, you were waiting for a certain someone.
And this certain someone is already 30 minutes late. Which made you groan a million times this day.
You stared at the screen of your phone, waiting for a message coming from a familiar number.
But of course, the name Kaneki Ken didn't show up on your screen.
You sighed as you stood up, slinging your bag on your shoulder as you do so. If he's not gonna contact you, you'll find him yourself.
You made your way towards the literature department and silently walked through the hallways. You noticed that there are only a few students left wandering around.
It's already pass dismissal.
You nodded to some familiar faces and continued to walk towards the place that you knew he'd go at this time of the hour.
And then you stopped in your tracks. A smile slowly making its way through your face.
Hearing the familiar sound of the piano, you instantly found yourself infront of the huge door to the music room.
You smiled to yourself, the beautiful piece taking over your soul. The sound of the music making your heart flutter.
You noticed that the door was slightly ajar. Peeking through the small space, there you saw the same man playing the instrument, his back turned against you as he lean forward now and then as the tune changes.
You closed your eyes in appreciation, the new sound filling your ear.
And then you realize the change of the sound, the new emotion filling it.
It wasn't lonely anymore, it was joyful, filled of happiness.
Quietly, you walked inside the huge room. You slowly made your way towards the white haired boy yet his attention was still fixed on the huge instrument.
You leaned down and carefully snaked your arms around his shoulders, burying your face on the crook of his neck.
You felt him stiffen for a moment, but he soon relaxed and continued playing.
"Kaneki," you called softly.
"Hmm?" He mumbled, acknowledging your existence.
"What is this all about?"
This time, he didn't respond. His attention drifted towards the instrument once again.
You quietly sat beside him, and you watched his every move. His fingers were swiftly pressing on the keys, and you listened to the beautiful sound produced by the Piano.
You suddenly held his hand which startled him, causing the music to stop. He looked at you questioningly and you just leaned your head on his shoulder in response.
"Play the song you played the first time we met," you softly demanded as you closed you eyes in comfort.
"But youre holding my hand,"
You intertwined your fingers against his, "Find a way, you're Kaneki."
He chuckled, "I can't play if you're distracting me, [Name]-chan."
You tightened your hold, "Then find a way, you're my Kaneki."
"[Name]-chan,"
"Kaneki," you whined before shutting your eyes closed once again.
He sighed in defeat and watched you as you comfortably rests your head against his shoulder.
Admiring your beautiful face, he didn't realized that you were already asleep. And if it wasn't because of your little snores, he wouldn't really notice.
His gaze softened and the corner of his lips turned upwards into a smile.
He leaned down and placed a small kiss on the top of your forehead.
"I love you," he mumbled before encircling his arm around your small form.
He was comfortable. Feeling his heart beat rapidly and for once he felt happy.
Genuinely happy.
That one part in the ending was inspired by @nijicchi 's story Undeserved. I can't stop it that story was really perfect ;-;
