Ch. 43: Prom Pt. 4

Aphmau's POV

Laurance and I walked back into the gymnasium. I still don't get why Garroth told Laurance and I to dance
together. Did he feel bad that Laurance got beat up today? Did he want Laurance and Katelyn to stay away from each other? Or does he think I like Laurance and wanted me to be happy?!?!? Calm down Aphmau! Don't assume the worst! That's probably not the reason anyways! Hopefully!

"Do you think Garroth is ok?" Laurance asked as he lead me to the dance floor. I looked down.

"I-I don't know......" I stuttered. Why did I stutter??? Ya know what, I don't know who I am anymore!

"I never imagined him saying those words. The words just keep replaying in my head." Laurance said. I looked up at him.

"Alright! All you kids!!! It's time for some slow dancing!!!! Get with your partner and get on the dance floor!!!" I heard the DJ say as he started playing a slow dance song. Many couples got on the dance floor and started slow dancing.

"Should we dance....?" Laurance asked me.

"You did ask me to prom...so I guess so......." I said. He grabbed my waist and I slowly put my arms around his neck. I didn't feel any sparks.

"Aph....I'm sorry...." He said as he looked down at me.

"Laurance....what do you mean. You didn't do anything!" I said.

"I know that I shouldn't have asked you to prom. I know you wanted to go with Garroth. I've known for the first time I saw you look into Garroth's eyes, you guys would end up being a perfect couple. Every time I see you two together, it hurts. I know when Garroth sees you and me together, it hurts him aswell.Laurance said. I saw little tears fill up in his eyes.

"......."

"What I'm trying to say is that, I love you. Even if you're with another man, I will always love you. And yes, I know I've told you this many times before, but I just want you to know for sure." He said.

"I-I don't know what to say....." I said.

"Well, I know what you're gonna do." Laurance said as he let go of my waist. I took my arms away from his neck. He grabbed my hand and took me off the dance floor.

"Laurance where are we going." I asked as he walked me over to the doors that lead into the hallway. He looked back at me.

"You're going to dance with the right man." He said. He looked back at the door and opened it. We saw Katelyn and Garroth arguing. They didn't seem to notice us.

"THATS IT!! You're going back into the gymnasium and getting yourself some food to calm down!!!!" Garroth yelled at Katelyn.

"I AM CALM!!!! You're the one that needs the food!!!" Katelyn screamed back.

"You say you're calm?!?! You literally just tried to kill someone!!!!!!" Garroth screamed.

"He was trying to steal your Aphmau!!! She lo----" Laurance cut Katelyn off.

"HEY!!! WE'RE DONE DANCING!!!! NOW, LETS  GO BACK INTO THE GYMNASIUM AND JUST ENJOY SOME FOOD!!!!" Laurance yelled. Garroth and Katelyn both looked at Laurance.

"Laurance is right! Let's go!" I said as all of them followed me into the gymnasium.

I heard what Katelyn was about to say. I'm glad Laurance interrupted...
