It's now, Tuesday. The second day of school. And it's lunch. Yesterday, I couldn't find Katherine, but today I see her ombre hair and hear her laughter from afar. I start to walk to her. As I start to near her, I see one of her friends, looks at me like I'm a piece of--"Hi Luna!" Katherine interrupts my observations.

"Hey," I give Katherine and her group a small smile, and put a loose strand of hair behind my ear.

Most of them nod to me. Then Katherine beams at me, "So how's it goin'?"

"Okay I guess," I shrug. "What about you?"

"Amazing!"

No crap Sherlock. "Oh, that's good."

Katherine just nods, (still smiling) and turns her attention back to her other friends, completely shutting me out. I just stand there for a few awkward minutes, waiting for Katherine to bring up a conversation with me, but she doesn't turn around at all. All she gives me is a perfect view of her back. I sigh and then turn to find Levi or Ben. As I leave, I hear someone say in a loud whisper, "Who was that?"

"Oh, some weirdo. I barely know her," I heard Katherine say.

I walk away quicker, tears brimming in my eyes. I barely know her, Katherine's voice echoes through my mind. I can't believe her.

I'm going to the bathroom to get some tissues.

Trying my best to hide my tear-stained face, I walk to the bathroom. But I don't get there unnoticed. "Luna?" Ben's voice says.

I ignore him, determined to not break down fully just yet.

"Luna!" I hear Ben jog to me.

I keep walking.

Ben stops in front of me.

"What?" I try to keep my voice from breaking.

"I--I--" he stuttered, "I just wanted to make sure if you were okay...."

"Well, obviously I'm not," I go past him, running. I hide in a bathroom stall.

Crying.

Waiting.

Waiting for this horrible year to end.
