Loki's POV
Two agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. were going to help me escape. This was a strange turn of events.
"Do I get an opinion on this?" I asked.
"Do you want to be executed?" Natasha asked.
"No."
"Then we're leaving." Kiara announced. "Now."
"How? I've tried hacking the code to open the cage but it didn't work." Natasha asked.
"Why do you think I have keys?" Kiara said, holding up the keys. She walked over and started unlocking the cage.
Natasha's POV
"How did I not see that before?" I wondered.
"I never knew there were locks on the door and I've been in here before." Loki said.
"Fury is a man of many secrets. He only activated the lock when Thor told everyone that you couldn't go back to Asgard." Kiara told us. "That's exactly why I don't trust him."
"Okay then. Can you get me out now?" Loki asked.
"Almost done." Kiara said, fiddling with the lock. "Nat, can you disable all the security cameras within the area?"
"Sure." I answered, walking out to get to the security room.
Loki's POV
"There. The door's unlocked." Kiara said. My leg started hurting like hell. I stumbled out of the cage. I landed with a thud of the floor.
"Ow." I groaned.
"Are you okay?" Kiara asked with concern.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I replied.
"No, you're not. Your leg is hurt. We need to get to the safe place immediately." Kiara told me. "We just have to wait for Nat to disable the cameras."
"And I just finished." Nat said, walking over from behind me. "What happened?"
"I tripped." I told her. "We need to go."
"We have a five minute window." Nat said. "So we need to hurry."
"Let's go then."
Natasha's POV
Kiara led us out of S.H.I.E.L.D. and we headed north until we got to an old farm house. We went inside and Kiara walked over to a cupboard and pulled a first-aid kit from the top shelf.
"Sit." She motioned for Loki to sit on a chair.
"Where exactly are we?" I asked Kiara.
"I used to come here with my brother after our parents died. I still come here a lot with him."
"It's beautiful." I exclaimed.
"Thank you." Kiara finished bandaging Loki's leg. "There. It should be fine to walk on now." Loki stood up and walked around.
"How does it feel?" I asked him.
"Much better than before." Loki said. "Thank you."
"Anytime." Kiara replied.
"What do we do now?" I asked. "No doubt S.H.I.E.L.D. agents will be searching for us at the moment."
"Anyone like bonfires?" Loki and I looked at each other in confusion.
"Yes, I love them." I replied.
"What's a bonfire?" Loki had no idea what we were talking about. Kiara led us outside and lit the bonfire.
"This is a bonfire." Kiara told Loki.
"So it's a small, controlled fire?"
"Yes." I laughed as Kiara disappeared inside the farm house. When she came back out, Kiara was holding some sort of packet.
"Here, catch!" She called, throwing the packet to me.
"Marshmallows? Now it's a bonfire." Loki looked even more confused. I opened the packet and threw a marshmallow to Loki, which he caught. "Try it." Nervously, he put the marshmallow in his mouth. Loki's face lit up with delight.
"Thish ish delicious." Loki said through a mouthful of marshmallow. Kiara and I laughed. We all gathered around the bonfire and told each other stories about our childhood. After about midnight Loki said he was going to bed.
"If you like him, just say something." Kiara said after Loki had disappeared inside.~Kiara-Barnes
