*Dan's Pov*

"Dan!" Phil called to me from the lounge. I was so wrapped up in reading a fanfiction on Tumblr that I didn't want to respond. Can't he just leave me alone with my fanfiction? Knowing Phil, he probably wants me to run to the shop and get him chocolate or something.

"Yes, Phil?" I responded with a whiny tone. It always works when he uses it with me, so mind as well give it a shot on him.

"Come here for a second, please!"

I groaned and closed my browser. As I got up, I looked around my dark room, adjusting my eyes to the lack of light. It was only seven thirty, so it was still light out, but I always kept my blinds shut, as I am a vampire and hiss at even the slightest bit of sunlight. I made my way down the hall and before creaking open the lounge door, I heard Phil's voice through the thin wall. I forgot he was doing a liveshow.

"Yea, Phil?" I questioned, slowly opening the wooden door. "Do you mind getting me my phone from my room, please?" He answered, smiling to make me give in. I would have melted right into his blue eyes if he hadn't put me on camera. "Please?" He begged again. I sighed and exited the room without answering. "Thank you!" I heard him call to me.

I opened his door and scanned the room for his phone. I saw it sticking out from the blankets on his bed. As I picked it up, it unexpectedly vibrated in my hand. Without thinking, I turned it on and saw that Pj had texted him. It was a link. Instead of invading his privacy, I choose to ignore it.

"Thanks b-" Phil started as I entered the room. I coughed before he could finish "babe". I stared at his flustering red cheeks and contained my laughter.

"Mhm" I responded, going back to my room to continue my reading. When I reached the middle of the hallway, my phone went off. I stopped in my tracks and took it out of my pocket. It was Pj. He had sent me a link as well. I waited until I was comfortably in my bed before looking at it.

When I had finally gotten comfortable and taken out my phone, I opened the link Pj had sent me. I knew that Phil wouldn't open his until after his liveshow, but I wondered what could be so important that he would send it to the both of us.

I was shocked by what I was looking at. It was an artical about the possible coming zombie apocalypse. I was shocked because of where the artical was posted- BBC News. I would expect something like this from Buzz feed, but not BBC. I was also shocked because of the fact that Pj actually found it alarming enough to send it to Phil and I. I didn't bother reading the artical, as I knew it was just a bunch of bull crap. This stuff has been everywhere in the past week. I don't understand how people could possibly believe in any of this, seeing as it's scientifically impossible for anything like this to ever happen. Then again, these people live on the internet and think everything they see on there is true.

I decided to stop scrolling through garbage on the internet and try to find something on Tv. I never watch Tv so I thought I'd try it for once. I got up from the comfort of my bed and snuck into Phil's room. I practically live in here, so he doesn't mind when I come in without asking. He'll find out I'm in here soon enough.

As I entered Phil's bedroom, I heard loud whales and screeching sirens outside, which isn't uncommon for London, but it was even more intense than usual. Weird. I tried to ignore it and sat on Phil's bed, grabbing the television remote off of his bedside table. the second I switched on the tv, I heard a loud screeching that I didn't hear often. It sounded like one of those weather warnings.

Manditory safety warning by the Center for Disease Control-

I read the message on the screen. The CDC? I've never seen that one before.

Citizens of the public are to remain indoors at all times until further notice, affective immediately.

The words continued to repeat themselves across the top of the screen, still screeching, blocking out the sound of the commercial playing in the backround. This was freaky. I don't think there has ever been a message from the CDC on the Tv like this. Maybe it has something to do with that virus going around, the one that everyone thinks is going to jump start the zombie apocalypse.

The sirens outside grew louder and louder every minute. What the hell is going on?

Just then, I was startled by Phil's voice. "Dan!" He called out to me. Without turning off the television, I ran out of the room and into the lounge. A million thoughts were running through my head.

What kind of virus would be this serious? Why are there so many sirens outside? What if this really is the zo-

I stopped my myself before I let that thought continue. That obviously cannot happen. It just can't. It's science! There is no way in hell there is even the slightest chance that could ever occur. Whats-so-ever.

"Dan!" Phil called to me again. I ran into the lounge where Phil was standing in the middle of the room. "What? What's going on?" I yelled over the sirens. He turned around and shoved his phone into my hands.

"Wha-" I started, before realizing a video was playing. My eyes fixed onto the screen.

"What the hell?" I muttered, eyes not moving from the phone.

The video was really bad quality, but I could see camouflage. They were all pointing their guns at something. Someone. I heard screams and shouts and people looking like they were about to puke. "Stop right there!" One of the soldiers shouted. "Stop, or we will be forced to shoot you!" Another screamed, anger and rage in his voice. "Stop!" Was the last word heard before gunshots rang out, and the whole crowd screamed so loud I wanted to turn the volume all the way down on Phil's phone. Rounds upon rounds of bullets went straight through the man's chest- and he didn't even fall.

My jaw dropped. Fake. I thought. This is all fake. A hoax. A prank. This isn't real. How could this be real? This is a scene from a movie or something. None of it is real!

I almost dropped the phone before Phil took it out of my hands, the video finally stopping as he did so. I looked up and stared, wide eyed, at Phil. A wave of fear rushed through me. I closed my jaw then opened it again in order to speak.

"What the fuck is happening?"
