Firsts Meetings and a Dangerous Encounter

The Next morning she went down to the gazebo where her father and Vaughn were sipping tea. She wore a simple black skirt, white shirt and tennis shoes with black socks "oh good morning Leanna, come have a seat at the table" greeted her father. She sat down between her dad and Vaughn "now me and Vaughn were doing some talking, your 18 now I think it’s high time you have some companionship" her father started "companionship?" Leanna questioned "yes Leanna your father gave me permission to start going out with you" Vaughn explained. Leanna gasped "and you didn't bother to ask me how i felt about this dad?" "Leanna its time your 18 and people are starting to talk" Leanna glared at the both of them "let them talk, the way i see it I'm an adult and can make my own choices" She stood up and walked away furiously up to her dorm room. 

She slammed the door and laid down on her bed crying, Artemis and Archimedes looked at her as she was crying "Leanna you OK?" Artemis asked "no I'm being treated like a child my dad is making my own choices for me and i hate it" Leanna answered, Artemis laid down beside her and nuzzled her arm. Leanna smiled at that and petted him "i think your father was going looking out for you" Archimedes stated Leanna glared at him "you don't know how they are like they just want to control me". Leanna did some homework for the entire day considering its what she missed yesterday and got done around 8 PM. Her father and Vaughn tried getting her out of her room but failed several times. A knock was heard at the door "Leanna come out this second, we are tired of this game if you dont come out right now we will suspend your familiars away for a month" threatened her father from behind the door, she hated it when he threatened Archimedes and Artemis, she stood up and walked to the door feeling trapped when Zephyr appeared on the window sill. Leanna smiled widely and ran into his arms without her father and Vaughn knowing.

Zephyr brought her to where they had met taking her by the hand "where are you taking me Zephyr?" asked Leanna "i thought maybe youd like to see a few of my family members" he told her "id love to" and Leanna followed him with her two guardians behind her. They walked a long ways finally coming to a cottage. Zephyr Knocked on the door and was invited inside. Leanna saw a quiant little living room. It has a fireplace 3 velvet couches and a small library "good evening son welcome home oh and who is this?" asked a strange man who Leanna assumed to be Zephyr's father. He had short blonde hair and like Zephyr golden eyes, he was handsome as well, slightly muscular under the black sweater he wore simple jeans and wore no shoes just white socks on his finger was a gold wedding ring "this is Leanna Hawkins father" Zephyr stated.  

His father gave him a stern look then smiled warmly at her "welcome to our home away from home Leanna i am Aramis Deveraux it is a pleasure to meet you" he bowed and kissed the back of her hand "the pleasure is all mine sir" Leanna replied A young girl came in the room and pounced Zephyr "Zephyr you sneaky wolf, you brought a slayer into the cottage i know she wont do anything and no you cant hide anything from me" The girl said despite the fact that Zephyr was trying to speak, the girl had red hair and brown all seeing eyes, she was beautiful and graceful, she wore a long purple skirt and a tank top the girl looked at Leanna " My name is Anna, Zephyr is my brother well half brother but i still treat him like a blood brother" "nice to meet you Anna" Leanna smiled pleasantly, Anna smiled back and turned to Aramis "father i got bad news i was watching him as best as i could but somehow he escaped before you and Zephyr came back" "i see, Zephyr i do suggest you keep a close eye on Leanna i do fear for her safety now that hes loose" Aramis said very gravely.

 Zephyr nodded to his father and took Leanna to his room where he locked the door after he did that he checked around the room and lit the firelogs in the fireplace. Leanna got a good look in the room there was a king sized bed dressed in black thick satin blankets, the floor was hard wood and there were three black leather couches in front of a grand fireplace, The windows were covered with a thick red velvet curtain and the walls were painting black. A black and gold dresser in the corner with a gilded mirror "Zephyr whats going on?" Leanna asked "Gregory is on the loose somewhere he may be far away he may be close but your to stay with me until we find him" Zephyr answered and Leanna nodded her head sitting on the bed beside Zephyr

"Zephyr what did Anna mean by shes a half sister?" "i knew you were gonna ask, Anna is close to a full Seer she can see the future, In fact her mother is one of the Fates. They werent ugly as greek stories come to pass them off as, they are quite beautiful almost rivaling the goddesses which was probably why my father was tempted. my father was recently married to my mother about 600 years ago and went on a trip with the elders. They had traveled to greece when my dad saw her, she was beautiful beyond compare well things happened and he had accidentally become unfaithful to my mother. Stricken with guilt he rushed home without explaining to the elders. Well a year after me and my brother were born there was a knock on the door my mother answers the door to find a baby on our doorstep with a note attached.

My mother read the note with great shock and anger that she stormed to my father while he was in the meeting with our council. now my father took it in and eventually he and my mom worked things out. the note stated the baby was Aramis's daughter and that the mother didnt want anything to do with her so my mother took Anna in, the fact she wasnt her daughter didnt come up shes closer to a sister then me and my brother ever knew" Zephyr explained "but isnt it annoying?" "oh yes Anna saw Alera returning, she probably knew i was gonna tell you about how she came to be a half sister" Zephyr rolled his eyes "and Gregory's story?" Leanna questioned "he is a vampire and when he was a human he hung around a goth bar people dressed up as vampires and had fake fangs he was foolish one night about a month ago didnt think she was a real vampire but he flirted with a girl while things were getting steamy he got bit and turned by her, my father took him in thinking he could help Greg"

 Suddenly there was a scratching at the window with sharp nails, Leanna yelped and hid behind Zephyr her slayer instincts totally shutting off, the window broke and out stepped a boy who looked only 17, his eyes glowed a brillant blood red, his skin was pale white. The clothes he wore was blood stained and torn his hair blonde tinged with blood "Hello Zephyr i see you brought dinner for us to share im sure your hungry as i am" the boy said menacingly "Gregory stay away from her touch her and i wont spare you" Zephyr threatened, Leanna looked at Gregory and knew he was a new vampire uncontrollable and dangerous. Gregory starting laughing manically and started to approach her "yummy a virgin you pick the best prey Zephyr" he lunged at her, a blood curdling scream came out of Leanna's throat and a black shape collided with Gregory. Leanna looked up and saw Zephyr in wolf form fighting Gregory.

He put up a good fight but Gregory somehow got Zephyr pinned to the floor blood matting the dark fur on his body, he raised a sliver knife he had stolen earlier from the kitchen intending to finish him off so he could feast on Leanna's blood. She saw that Zephyr was badly wounded and his ribs made it hard for him to breathe, the blade came down on Zephyr ready to pierce the flesh above his heart

Skin was torn and blood dripped but the blade was thwarted It hit Leanna's shoulder who ran towards Zephyr and blocked the path of the dagger. The door was broken down and Gregory was apprehendded by Aramis and Anna while Zephyr who had transformed back to human form proving to her that the clothes the werewolves had been wearing didnt rip to shreds when they transformed. Zephyr kneeled down and held Leanna's head. "Leanna you fool you could have been killed" "i had to protect you Zephyr its what anyone would do for the one they love" with those final words Leanna fainted from the loss of blood.
