The Full Moon Ceremony

Zephyr nodded then took her to the parlor hundreds of portraits hung from the walls, to Leanna, they seemed to be glaring down at her in silent disapproval. They came to a luxurious parlor the floors was dark cherry while the walls were made out of marble just like the exterior, there was about 5 large shelves containing books most likely collected over the years, one part of the room had tables for reading and such while the other part had leather couches and chairs with coffee tables. Callandra joined them with a tray of tea milk sugar and biscuits, after things were set up on the coffee table the three sat down. "now, i was wondering something, when are you two going mate?" she asked Zephyr who was sipping his tea spit it out "mother i think its a little too soon to be thinking about that" he laughed embarassingly, Callandra laughed once but then gave him a chart something Leanna couldn't see because it was hard to but whatever he was looking at made him pale "you've got to be kidding me mother? its way too soon" Zephyr looked at his mother "its in three days Zephyr and the council wants it done on this coming moon" Callandra told him, Zephyr got up and walked away in silent anger "whats wrong with him milady?" Leanna asked "why is he so angry?" Callandra looked at her and sighed "its not you or what he has to do its the council hes angry with, We may be one of the royal families in the werewolf world but the Council of Immortal Elders calls everything matings, crownings and executions everything only thing they have no control of is births" Callandra explained 

"what were you talking about whats in three days?" Leanna asked "your full of questions aren't you? very well, in three days its the full moon, even though the council would have prefered if Zephyr had chosen a werewolf-born female they have to settle with you. During the Full Moon Ceremony, my son has to change and well mate with you. The Ceremony happens for three days, first day youll get changed that tells the immortal world your basically married to Zephyr although there will be a ceremony later on took me and Aramis a full year before we got actually married. Second night it becomes offical that you two become a mated pair. Then theres a big party/meeting on the third night. The party is a coming out ball the council needs to meet you so at the ball they will, plus youll meet the other royal families" Callandra told her "what is a werewolf-born im sure its obvious but" Leanna looked down 

"Well back in the old days, Werewolf status depended on if your mother and father were werewolves already that would make one werewolf-born, my sons are but I'm not. In 1445 a werewolf prince by the name of Oragor was told to choose a mate to ensure the royal line, none of the werewolves interested him but he saw a woman a human girl named Deresa in a village. He approached the young woman and immediately they fell in love. The council did not approve of it this was in a time where werewolves did actually eat humans, but they said nothing knowing it was a prelude to the meal , just a fascination. One full moon the prince and the woman met together, the  Deresa pleaded with Oragor to change her into a werewolf, he complied. He changed into his werewolf form and bit her. After she was transformed into a werewolf they council banished them both telling them that The Bitten is not welcomed in the immortal world" Callandra explained "that's horrible" Leanna said in disgust  "After their examples many males have bitten humans because they loved them not just the males either females have bitten human men in order to change them. The council was sorely outnumbered and decreed that The Bitten would be allowed to live in immortal society. I'm one of the bitten while my sons Zachary and Zephyr are werewolf-born" Leanna stood up "thank you so much Cassandra you've helped me to understand" she walked away and leaned against the wall outside the parlor wondering what had she gotten herself into.

After that, she walked down the hallway when a portrait caught her eye, it was of three boys looking to be about ten while one looked to be 6 years of age, Two of them were identical twins like her brothers Johnathan and Michael, Leanna could only see that the twins were Zachary and Zephyr but the six year old boy didn't look like them. The boy had blond hair and silver eyes which was striking against the slightly tanned skin still puzzled beyond belief, she left the hall of pictures.
